OK, I am not an expert in this field but I have learned some things from experts. After reading some of the posts I feel it’s important to share this information. Do with it what you will. smileys/smiley1.gif<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
This business is about one thing, filling people’s needs. That is what is important. The facts about our company are amazing. You guys know what they are so I am not going to list them but they are what makes our company the best, in my opinion. It’s what provides our stability & makes our products so fantastic. However, the facts are not what matter when finding people to share our business & or our products with.
What matters is the person. What are their dreams? What are their needs? Are they desperate to find a way to stay home with their kids? Are they on the verge of disaster & need just a few hundred a month? Are they miserable with the job path they are on & can’t stand dreading Sunday b/c that means they have to go to work the next day?
Or do they have adult acne & their self esteem has taken a beating b/c of it? Do they need to lose some weight? Is their skin cracked & bleeding & they can find no relief? Do they need help getting healthy?
Our business & our products are simply a vehicle to answering their needs. So your job is to find out those needs by asking questions. Then you show them how you can help them with either or business & or our products. It’s really that simple.
I’ve been on this board awhile so I can say that I know all of you care about helping other people. I know you want to improve their lives. Start by being interested in them, showing them that you really care by listening to them. Then after you’ve done that share our gifts with them. Because that is what this company is really all about, changing people’s lives in the way they need it changed.

Hi,
I read what Jennifer says and she really does have a good insight on the company.
I am a new consultant and threw out the idea of becoming a consultant
to my mom (stays at home, just volunteers) and the first thing she says
is how Arbonne must be a pyramid scheme like the companies back in
earlier decades! How can I make my mom a believer? (I even told
her how my best friends family is all in the business, making real
money and got their car!)

smileys/smiley7.gif aarrgghhh- that pyramid thing!!! ask her if she is looking for pyramid deals? she'll most likely would answer 'no'. you can answer then :when people ask me that question they wonder if they have to do all the work and someone else gets to make all the money. is that what you are asking? then she'll most likely will answer 'yes' and you can go on: my program is not either illegal, shady or designed so that someone else ends up with all the money. just like in any other co when there are people under your supervision, you can make money - lots of money- from the efforts of other people.my business is designed so that if someone who works under my supervision harder and smarter than i do then he/she will get to make more money than me. isn't that the way it should be? She: 'yes, sure' You: let me ask you something: it's possible that my business is not for you. But, if i can clearly demonstrate that in this business you can make all the money you want to make, based on YOUR efforts, without doing anything shady, illegal or uncomfortable, would you give it your consideration?... and go from there. these kind of scripts can be found on the net under many network marketing sites, by the way.my close relative is a "non-believer" also, i hear you!

Depending on my audience, sometimes I hit people straight up regarding the whole "pyramid" thing. I draw a triangle and put myself on the bottom alongside another consultant at my level and then I put my sponsor on the top. Then I draw another triangle and put myself on the bottom alongside a former CORPORATE peer and then I put my former CORPORATE BOSS's name on top.
Then, I ask them to show me the difference between the two "pyramids", one reflecting my A*** structure and the other reflecting my former CORPORATE life.
Again, you have to be choosey in terms of who you'd be able to use this approach with. But in most cases, I find that the pictures "disarm" people and opens up the conversation in order to gain more understanding.
I'm probably not doing a good job explaining it fully but hopefully you all get the gist.

Ask your prospects lots of questions to uncover their desires, needs and wants and then you fill in the way A****** fits into their life!
