Just curious...............do you give away items, freebe's to guests that bring a friend? You know if you put on the invite something like:

bring a guest and recieve ______

Do this work? Do it need to be something small, percentage off their order..??

Any thoughts or suggestions??? thanks so much ~Robyn

I usually raffle off a gift at the end of the evening. Guests are able to win raffle tickets doing different things:

being on time 1 ticket
bring a friend 2 tickets
2 tickets for every 25.00's ordered
5 tickets for booking a show

at the end of the presentation I award a ticket for every question they ask me about my job.

As for the invites, I just say bring a friend for a chance to win a prize ( or something along those lines )

Prizes vary...sometimes it's a set of Magic Wipes ( one of our products) or I visit the dollar store for a cheap gift. Lots of times I'll have extra product and I'll spit up a set of dishtowels and give one away or something liek that...I love to give product for gifts if I can.

I give guests Southern Living at HOME's small cookbooks. (A small version of our larger cookbooks) They are really nice and SLAH gives them to us free with our Business credits we earn.

I put it on the invitation. ("Bring a friend to join the fun and receive a free gift!)

It works for me! I usually have 3 to 4 guests at every show! That's huge! Those ladies are coming not out of loyalty to the host, but because they are interested in the product or curious. I find that the "Guests" usually book shows.

I am very generous at my parties! The hostess always gets extra goodies along with the neckwrap and every guest gets 1 sample size product to take home.

My booking basket is full of dollar store, sample sizeproduct and discontinued product.I have my calendarwith dates I want to work on a sheet of paper. The dates are in red, blue and green. Thebeginning of the month is red and if theybook one of thosedays, they get 3 items from the basket. Middle is blue and that is 2 gifts. Greenis one.

This has been very successful for me! My booking average is the same, but my re-order business has gone way up!

I do 1/2 price shipping for 1 guest, free shipping for 2 guests.

People get sneaky and bring extra outside orders in hopes for the discount and I always oblige. smileys/smiley36.gif

I do a "Bring A Friend" special. When they bring a friend and that friend orders, the person that brought them gets free shipping. I also do a raffle drawing at the end for a couple pieces of jewelry.

I put on the invites bring 2 friends, get free shipping. It gets people thinking about more than just bringing their 12 year old along, and if they only bring one, I don't have to give anything, but can if I want. I'm hoping it'll help with attendance, so far, in the past couple weeks I've been doing it, no one's brought two.

What a great way to control your calendar! Thanks for the idea!!

I change my shows quite a bit especially if it's the same group. I do give scarves at each show (square scarf with purchase of 2 items and scarf belt with 3+ items).

Most of my gifts are Dollar store things, note pads, pens, etc. for bringing a friend. I have done the ticket thing as well and lately have used Diva Dollars for bringing friends, RSVP, being on time, booking a show, etc. Then I do an auction at the end using the Diva Dollars they earned. Those prizes range from Dollar Store items to tote bags.

I started this in January and it really helps! There are 3 days to choose from on this calendar. Sometimes I do get a booking for a day that is not on there, but most will choose which of the 3 work best for them.

We have quality time as a family built around my work schedule. Our Daughter is already 4 1/2 and it will not be too long before her schedule will change mine! So I am trying to prepare myself! LOL

I always give them a little gift like lotion or those cute magnet picture frames from Joann's. Then I also do a raffle and give them extra tickets.
