I have a party that I want to have but I have a couple of problems.

I live a little over 2 miles out of town..........people have become lazy and don't want to drive out for a party.............what can I do to make it a really big deal that they will want to come to my party.

I also live in a small town, where woman don't like to spend over $10 for any type of jewelry.............they just don't............

I had a couple ideas thrown at me and I wanted to get others advice and auggestions.

One was to do a wine & cheese tasting party at the same time I have my party. Everyone bring their favorite bottle of wine or soda. I would provide cheese and crackers.

Another one was that I have like a couple party.....the guys can party in the garage and us women in the house with my party stuff. of course we would have a bbq with lots of food etc.

Any other ideas???????? I will also do a catalog party at the same time for the ones that cannot make the party.

Thanks in Advance!!

Let's see there chocolate parties, you could do a sundae party, where you provide the ice cream they bring toppings, you could do a bbq one like you said, a luau, those are just a few off the top of my head. I am sure someone else will have some great ideas!! :)

Another theme party someone shared with me a long time ago was a banana split making contest/party.

Everyone brings bananas. You provide all the fixin's (a few different ice creams, toppings, etc.) and have a banana split making contest. People can win prizes for the biggest banana split, or the most creative, most colorful, etc. Whatever you want to do. PLUS, they can enjoy their banana splits during your party at the same time.

I really like the sundae idea. A lady who I've been talking to about Latasia has mentioned and Ice Cream social as a good way to invite people over and have a good time and it's something different. I can't remember everything she said about it but if I get to talk to her again soon I'll find out the details and post here for ya.

The ice cream social is great. Everyone has to bring a topping, then they feel responsible. smileys/smiley36.gif

The best way to get people there is to get them excited. Talk to them and let them know why it is worth their time to attend.

Best of luck!
