Do any of you have college students as consultants? Or maybe some of you are students yourselves. I was wondering how receptive that group may be to the A*** opportunity. Has anyone ever posted some generic info on campuses? I live near two universities and was thinking of posting something on campus.
Thanks,
Ines

My husband and I work at a college and I think it would be great to get involved there and share the opportunity. College students are always looking for ways to make some extra income :D

college students are amazing. they are coachable and vry excited. i ave an
amazing student on my team. what works for her when prospecting is to
focus on the opportunity to never have to work for anyone, to make a future
for themselves that they create and are in control of.

How would you go about approaching sororities. I am an alum but even then am not sure what I would say when I contact my college sorority. Host a skin care class? Do a fundraiser for their philanthropy? I remember being so poor in college so I can't imagine that the girls would be able to afford the products that easily. Any ideas?

maybe you could get a contact name and phone numbers from the college and set up a meeting to discuss doing a fund raiser. Soroties do them all the time for all kinds of reasons. I remember doing one with krispy kream when I was in school. Lots of buyers on campus with all the employees and professors.

Yes, you could do it as a fundraiser for their philanthropy. In my
experience, both as a student and a professor, sorority women tend not to
be poor. And, they spend money on this type of thing. Do you know any
sorority girls who don't wear makeup? smileys/smiley2.gif
It doesn't have to be a huge thing--just come in and introduce the products,
opportunity, etc.Sherri Handrinos, who went RVP relatively quickly, was a
sorority girl. I think she just finished college this year.

Check out "Sponsoring the Y Generation" in the leadership learn and burn. It talks exactly about this.

My NVP's daughter just started college in the fall and when she turned 18 she started her own biz. She's already a DM. College students are usually broke, but they also usually have some sort of job to pay for pizza, makeup, etc. smileys/smiley36.gif

And don't forget, there are college students out there who have lots of
money. It depends on the school. In a school where most of the students'
families are wealthy, they often get BIG allowances!
Overall, though, I think we want to approach students with the business
opportunity. Many don't want to work for someone else. I never did. That's
why I went to grad school and became a professor. Now I'm doing Arb. to
fund my film career! Some of us know that the "real world" is no fun!! smileys/smiley36.gif
I'm sure we'll all find some business minded college students out there!
