Okay- have a question that needs answering- had someone go to my website last nite to place an order- they thought they were signing up as a wholesaler to get discount but in fact did jus the sign up as a client- now they placed a decent order- my question is- can I pay for his consultant fee so that his next order he will indeed get the discount and be eligible for the free product with 100 order???? We are close family so I have no problem giving him my cc info to enter online--I just dont want to do something wrong and get in trouble over it!!!!

We aren't supposed to pay their start up fee. What I would do is call customer service & see if the order has went through. Explain what happened & you may be able to just cancel it. If not they will tell you what you can do. If possible you want the sign up to go on this order so he gets his benefits now, like free product etc.
Be sure you have a copy of all the products he ordered so he won't have to remember.

You can cancel any order within 3 days...so have him call today and cancel it and then sign up as a consultant.
when i first signed up as a CONSULTANT, i canceled and then signed up again 3 days later. They don't care :D

Thanks- Jennifer see thats what I was thinking that I couldnt do that- and he did miss out on the first time order benefit of the free product, etc-
I emailed support and asked them how to take care of this- so hopefully we can get this changed for him-
I know he is going to place another order(wife had not figured out what all she wanted and he was impatient to get his mens line!so he went ahead and placed an order by himself!)- but I wanted him to benefit this time too...

Why aren't we allowed to pay someone's start up fee? What if someone uses all of THEIR info but you just fund them with your credit card?

I read in the policies and procedures that we weren't supposed to. I am surprised at the number of people I have seen offer to do this an incentive.

I thinkone reason we are not supposed to pay to sign people up is to keep things on the up and up.When bonuses are on the line but you need 5 new consultants to qualify for it, what is to stop a person frompushing someone to join saying, "oh, I will cover your sign up fee, just sign up and you'll get the discount"
If a person wants to join wholesale there is a $29 fee. If they don't want to pay it, they are not agreeing to enter into thearrangement with Arbonne. I know in some other companies, there have been horror stories of people signing up others without their knowledge and consent and placing orders in their name to qualify for bonuses and promotions. I think Arbonne is trying to avoid that, and keep the playing field level. I know I could not afford to pay $29 for someone if I end up only getting 8% of their sales, but maybe VPs can afford it, so it really isn't fair.

Saint, you can't fund them with your card unless they are paying you the amount in a check or cash. anet has great answers to your question. I believe that it's an industry thing that you can't do that but I could be wrong on that. However it def is against policy for us.
Besides, it's just really not a good business practice. There is no way that you could do that for everyone who went in under you so you shouldn't be doing it for anyone. Always remember you shouldn't do for one what you can't do for all. Also, remember this business is all about duplication & most aren't going to be able to duplicate that practice.
