Any ideas on where to do a presentation?

I am planning to do a presentation out of state & want to choose a central location, but not too sure what kind of place to choose. There is nobody that lives in a central location that is willing to have the presentation at their house. Do you think if I choose a restaurant people will think that I'm offering them dinner? I know hotels have meeting rooms, but most of them cost $150 or more per day. I don't really want to pay that kind of money, especially being the presentation will only be about 30-45 minutes long.

TIA!

Do you know if there is a Panera breads There? Most ofthem have community rooms. They cost $50 to rent, or if there is a total of $50 spent in food and or gift cardsfrom attendees that covers it. I have had them there myself, and just saysmall food or gift card purchase requested to help defray cost of room. Usually if people want a drink and bagel, it is $3-$4, I have never had it not covered, but if it wasn't, I would just spend the rest in gift cards and use them as gifts, thank yous or for future purchases myself! Of course, this is for training my team, not a class/party. I would never ask guests to a party to pay.

Most towns and cities have community centers that cost very little to rent. The town where I grew up offers a beautiful room free to residents for parties/gatherings. Just something to look into.

Is there a coffee house type place around? They are usually laid back and the guests can have a coffee or drink while you talk. My team used to meet at one until we got too big. Now a member has us at her house. We always had someone go early and grab a nice big table for us! Most of the group stayed and ordered dinner afterwards and the staff was always friendly.

Good Luck!

Some libraries offer community rooms to their residents. That might be another venue to check out.

Thanks for all the ideas!

The town that I'll be doing the presentation in doesn't have a Panera Bread, but they do have a San Francisco Bread Company, would that besimiliar? They have a Starbucks also, but it's a small one, I don't think they would be able to accomodate the group. I was thinking that if I did some sort of eating establishment, to just choose one that you have to go to the counter to put your order in, that way nobody would assume that I'm paying for their meal. Does that sound right?

I'm going to check into the library & community centers in that area, but don't know if they would rent to me for a cheap price being I'm not a resident.

Thanks again & if anyone has any other ideas, please let me know!
