I'm working on rebuilding my portfolio after having to switch web hosts recently, and I was wondering if anyone here has recommendations :D

Make it look nice.

No seriously, what kind of suggestions are you looking for? How it should look, how it should function, etc.?

The less options the better, don't give the user a lot of choices. It's your job to think that all users are idiots (honestly, you really need to think of them this way even if they aren't) and will screw everything up beyond belief if you give them to much to do or decide on.

For example, if you just wanted to show off some images of what you'd done, put it in a lightbox and just give them the option of scrolling forward or back through it, nothing else. Maybe have some caption at the bottom about what you did for that particular site.
