One of the things that I love about my MiaBella candle business is the ability to work anywhere.
About a month ago, my dad called and said, I'd like to fly you and the kids down for Thanksgiving to Florida (we live in NH, they live in Florida) to visit for the week. My first thought was WOW that would be great! THANK YOU!
I talked to my husband and he looked at his work schedule (he works for someone else, a company and has to request time off) and was not able to get the time off. He told me to go with the kids and he would stay behind.
Of course I felt horrible that he couldn't go, but...
I work from home...I have a candle business that I market mostly online and one on one networking. So what that means, is between my laptop, cell phone, sample packs and catalogs...I can work my business from anywhere!
Don't get me wrong...I'm on vacation too...but I take 1 -2 hours everyday to make some calls, return emails and do someone online social networking. It's all about being consistent with this business.
And I'm sharing my candles to the local here in Florida. I always have my scent samples and catalog with me (I can easily fit these in my purse) and share them whenever I can. I give one to the waitress at the restaurant, the person I am standing next to in line at the park and to the cashier at the grocery store.
I am truly blessed to have an amazing Mia Bella candle business that I work around my family...not the other way around! And I love training others how to do the same.
My next goal is to earn enough money so my husband can quit his job and work with me...and then be able to go on our next trip to Florida!
