Hi,

As I work on my computer, I have a vision board beside me to inspire me to keep going.

Do you have one, and what's on it?

On mine there is an enormous villa on three floors, beautiful furniture to go into the villa, and a fantastic silver Convertible Merc, with red interior. I also have photos of special people on it and a picture of a child in need, to put exactly why I will be very successful in life.

Please share yours!

AnneMarie (Aine) :)

Interesting, I have been thinking of making a "real" one, I mean I have in my computer the pictures of the house I want, and the car I want, but I want to create an actual board... a poster or something that I can hang on the wall of my home office and see it every day. I would also like to include 1 or 2 travel destinations...

Hi Aloemom

I have one on my desktop too but have to say that hardly ever look at it as there are always screens open. I'm a great believer in seeing it in front of you day after day.

I am so convinced that I will own the convertible merc that when I was out the other day, a guy drove by in the model I want ... You could have knocked me down with a feather because I was sure that it was my car he was driving. I truly was ...

The board is great and you can physically move it into the rooms you are working too.

I only have one photo on my bulletin board at this time. It is a picture of a CROWD of people and I have written on it, "My SendOutCards Team!". It helps me to visualize where I am headed with my business. I need to add more to my bulletin board, though.

Hi Dawn

Yes you do! :) Remember it is the WHY that keeps us going when we get exhausted and sometimes disheartened.

So put photos/pictures of all you want for yourself and your family on your board and keep focussed.

I found it worked in the past, so am pleased to be doing it again ... daily, hourly focus ...

Aine: I agree, it's not the same to have in the computer, I got to download the brochures and create an vision board I can touch!...

Here's my home (soon) (http://senderospr.com/)

I don't have a vision board, but I do have a book with all of things I aspire to attain. My best friend has motivational words positioned on her dashboard which reflect on the windshield. Not enough to cause an accident, but a constant subliminal reminder.

Aloemom ... I love day-dreaming when I look at my vision board. Hope you get to do it asap.

Lucy ... that is a great idea too. One which could fit in the handbag so that when you are out and about, you could sit and visualize all your goals. Think that is what I shall do next. Thank you.

Like you friend Lucy, I used to have the words all over the place but the funny thing is, it was a postcard that twice in my life, changed it amazingly. Thank you for that reminder too.

It's good to share.

Success to all ...
AnneMarie

OMG guys that gave me this idea, we can get one of those digital pic keyrings and have the pics of our vision board there that way we have them everywhere with us.

I have had my vision board for almost 2 years and somethings have already been fulfilled! It is very exciting and encourages you to stay focused on the things you want.

Wishing everyone here all the best,

Wendy

Visionboards are a fun way to set goals! I have one that is divided into 3 sections: family, personal, and work. Under family, I have a picture of Disney World because I would love to take the family to Disney World, stay a week, and not have to worry about a budget! Under personal, I have a picture of me at my ideal weight :) (of course I need to lose 20 lbs! who doesn't!) and pavered walkway. For work, I have mostly one words and pictures of the things I can earn in our incentive programs.

If you don't have a vision board, you definitely need to make one!! It truly works!! A little over a year ago, I had the new front load washer and dryer on my vision board and I am excited to say I was able to accomplish that goal!!

Happy dreaming!

Hi aloemom
It's amazing how once you start thinking of something, then more ideas grow ... LOA :)

Hi Wendy
It's wonderful to pass that info on and two years is a great time to keep that focus.

Hi Bootiican
I agree, the sooner people realise the potential of having a vision board, the soon all their dreams will start coming true.

I just remembered something that happened to me years ago. You have reminded me with your posts.

I found a picture of the house I wanted. It was the outside of the house. Well I waited and waited, nothing happened, obviously I didn't really believe that I deserved it. In the meantime my sister had moved to Canada a few years before and I had not been to her house. Then one day the opportunity arrived when I could afford to go and what do you think ...

Yes, she was living in 'my' house. It was exactly as I had envisaged it! But, I love my sister and therefore was pleased for her.

Strange though ...

AnneMarie :)

My husband and I made a vision board in 2007. Many of the things from the board have happened. The best thing on our board was a picture that my husband drew of us with a lil' girl. Happily, we found out just months later that we were pregnant and we welcomed our beautiful daughter in 2008.

Sounds like a great tool to keep you motivated. Been meaning to do one myself. Perhaps a picture of a "lighter" me on the refrigerator!!

You know, I gotta make one of these. This should help with me go where I wanna go in life. As soon as the snow clears up I'm gonna get my supplies.

I haave always used my refrigerator as our "Dream board". I let my kids put their personal dreams and desires on the fridge too. That way the whole family gets to participate. When we achieve one of them, we just take it down and replace it with a new dream/goal.

I do! Mine is on the wall above my desk. It has a picture of my dream house on it. It has several screenshots of affiliate sales and Adsense income (because those will be increasing ;p) It has Bible verses that inspire me and various quotes that inspire me.

There's a pic of me and my hubby to show that I'm devoted to a good marriage, and a pic of me with the kiddos. There's also a little pic of a tea set which represents my relationship with my daughter - my mom and I have a bit of a strained relationship and it's my desire that my own daughter and I will have a much better relationship.

There's a picture of a laundry room with four washers (lol) and some "from behind" shots of ladies with long, gorgeous hair (mine is long but the health needs to be better).

So it's really a combination of the visions that I have for all aspects of my life - not just business. But business is up there, too :)

Hmm, after reading the posts, maybe I should create a visionboard :-) I haven't had one in years. I didn't find (in the past) that it motivated me enough. So, I just let it go. Maybe things have changed and I should have one in front of me to remind me of what I am working towards.

I have something similar to a vision board. Instead of a real board with pictures, I have a picture of my dream house as a background and when I start my computer it motivates me to get work done.
