Internet Search Consultant. Temporary, part-time position and IC.

A recruiter from LionBridge contacted me asking me if I can post the job on my blog, and I said yes. You can find the job info on my blog here (http://meilynn.com/work-at-home-who-is-hiring/lionbridge-hiring-internet-search-consultant-work-at-home/)

Good luck to those who apply!

I applied and received a response back in a few hours that they are not hiring in my state, but they will keep my application on file in case they start hiring in my state. Since this is a work at home job, I'm not sure why that matters but it would be really nice if Lionbridge would post the states they do and don't hire in to save people from going through the entire application process unnecessarily.

Hi Mess18, sorry they don't hire in your state. I agree it would be nice if they let know in which states they hire...I just sent an email to the recruiter asking about the question, hopefully I will hear back from her tomorrow (she is out of office today.)

Lionbridge seems so much more professional than Leapforce. Is there a general turn around time on an acceptance or rejection?

Thanks for getting that information! That is a big help :)

Hi Mess,

I was told that they don't hire in my state (CA) either. A lot of it has to do with the tax situation and labor laws in each state. I know that here it is so prohibitive to do business between labor regulation and the taxes that a company has to pay that a lot of companies won't hire me simply because I live here.

Thanks, that makes sense. I was pretty surprised to see how few states that actually do hire from. My 2nd assignment with WFL ends on the 23rd, so hoping for something else, but not counting on it!

I applied and received an invitation to the test, yay!

Bummer though, didn't realize it was temporary. Anyone have any experience with LB and whether temporary can turn into long term or what that generally means...

Little nervous about the test, but will do the pre screen survey test tonight so that should give me an idea.

I, too, have been invited to test for them. Unfortunately, the link that I was instructed to click in order to agree to the terms outlined in the documentation they sent me is taking me to a login prompt rather than a place to accept the terms. I've sent an email to the address that I was contacted from, but I'm not sure whether or not I'll hear back from them, and if so, if it will be in time for me to be included in the upcoming testing. I received the materials this morning and was told that I had to agree to the terms online before tomorrow.

Ciber8mx, is there any chance your contact can look into this??

finallygreen - I ran into the same problem but I found that you can use the login and password provided to you at the end of your application process (sent to you in an email).

Two things about that though-

Once you paste the copied login (starting with AP and then some numbers) it starts a timing feature and I found I couldn't go to another tab already open in that browser window (ie back to the email that had the password so I could copy that). So I had to open a whole new window for my email and go to that to copy the password into the form. Note that I'm using Linux MINT so there's a good chance it was just an issue on my end and you may have no problem opening a tab once you've started to login. A luddite work around would to be hand copy the login and password onto a piece of paper (gasp!!).

The second thing is that once you've done that it will prompt you to change the password. Once you do that you're in. I was a bit worried that somehow there would be a disconnect between this login and the new emails but not only did the NDA have my name at the top, but I just today received an email confirming receipt of my filled out NDA.

They actually got back to me pretty quick. They reset my password and I was able to get in and get it done :)

I too was invited to test. Exciting! I too am also curious as to what the temporary label means. 3 months? 6... Can anyone experienced working for Lionbridge elaborate? I plan on asking after they hire me :D, if I'm so lucky, but the suspense is killing me.

I have a friend who submitted an application a month ago and have not heard anything . . . nothing! What do you suggest he do about it?

I know they are hiring.

You may not get an answer as raters have to sign nondisclosure agreements....however it is revealed to you by the company in the nda...so you would know the payrate before beginning work...
