This has probably been posted before but I wanted to start a thread that I will be able to find easy.

I know about Partylite candles use to sell for them but I see that they are very strict about online promoting and selling.

I have never heard of the other companies listed here and would like to know more about the benefits, hostess rewards, commission, start up cost and anything else anyone would like to tell me about your candle company.

I have never heard of the other companies listed here and would like to know more about the benefits, hostess rewards, commission, start up cost and anything else anyone would like to tell me about your candle company.

Decided I would post the info here too for others who may be interested in this info!

Scensty Wickless Candles has been in business for 5 years and we are growing quickly! Consultants offer beautiful warmers (45+) and bars of scented wax (80+ fragrances). The wax is warmed with a 25 watt light bulb. It gets to just a few degrees above body temperature, so there is no risk of burns like with traditional open flamed candles. There is also no lead, smoke or soot with Scensty Candles.

As of September 1, 2009 Scensty offers health insurance to their consultants which is a huge plus! As a Scensty Consultant you will be involved with a company that puts family first and has a true giving spirit! One of the biggest benefits to being a Scensty Consultant is the simplicity of both the product and the business as a whole. Scensty has what are referred to as basket parties. This is our version of the catalog party. Hostesses receive a "basket" with mini testers and all of the other supplies needed for a successful party. They don't have to have the traditional home party and they still receive all of the rewards that she would with a home party! The hostess can literally take the party with her where ever she goes! Hostesses and consultants LOVE this option!

Scensty also offers tons of training opportunities for it's consultants: weekly webinars, live training calls, online training videos and training DVDs. Scentsy is dedicated to the success of all of their Consultants!

Commissions start at 20% until you sell your first $1000, then commission jumps to 25% and stays there for the rest of your Scensty Career. There are generous bonuses for team and group sales, recruiting and personal sales. There is also the Shooting Star Award that is available to all new consultants. When you sell $500 in your first 15 days you are eligible to purchase 10 warmers for $200 (that's $100 off!) and the purchase goes toward your personal sales! There is also the Scentsational Start Program that runs for your first 70 days with Scensty. There are generous bonuses and recognition for achieving one of the three levels of this program.

The start up costs for Scensty is only $99. With the purchase of your starter kit you receive all of your party testers, 1 full size warmer, 1 Scensty Bar, 1 Car Candle, 1 Room Spray, 50 catalogs, 100 order forms, New Consultant Start up Guide, Scentsy Binder, 4 light bulbs and order bags. Plenty to get your business off to a great start!

I hope you have found this information helpful! I look forward to visiting with you more about this unique opportunity!

Just want to add to this...

With Soylicious.com there are no sales quotas to meet to earn your 40% on sales, just the COTM. With all of the startup kits available, you also get a website to sell and recruit from. You get sellable product where you actually make a profit from selling the products.

You have low distributor costs: $2.50 for 25 brochures, 20 order forms, 25 recruiting brochures, 20 post cards, or 20 fundraising flyers. You can get a full set of samples for $15 or the nicer set for $35.

If you are interested in team-building, we offer a great compensation plan that requires no individual or group sales quotas to meet in order to earn from team members' sales. The only way you lose a team member is if they quit. You can check out our compensation plan, different startup options, and products we offer on my website.

We are a new company just started in July but the owners have been making and selling candles for 10 years. We just had our first conference call and plan on continuing to do those to help with training, answering questions, etc. We have a great forum available to all distributors to chat with each other as well.

Jessica you have GREAT info! I just wanted to add one thing that was big to me when I first joined...

When you sell $2,000 in retail for the month you will be bumped up to 30% commission for all sales that month. This may seem like a lot in retail but it really isnt hard to do, our products are in such a high demand they sell like crazy! I log onto my back office every morning to find at least 1 new online order.

I wanted to share my story since I was a leader with PartyLite...

When I was with my former company, I worked the business...with success...booking 6 - 8 shows per month, adding new team members each month. I even earned a trip to Jamaica with my husband! I discovered that people really do love high quality candles! I love doing home shows, meeting new people and training others to do the same thing.

Even though I was having sales success, I was not happy. I was stressed out due to high leadership monthly minimums, high sales/booking pressure tatics from my leader and constantly having to buy new products for my display tables.

So I talked to my good online friend Alethea Anderson who I have known for almost 7 years and we started talking about her Mia Bella candle business. I already knew there is a huge market for high quality candles and I after asking a million questions, I realized that her Mia Bella candle business is really an amazing company that offers everything I want.

I am a firm believer in choices...choices on how to run your business. Since many of us work this right alongside our families, there are months when we can spend lots of time on it, and other months when we choose to focus more on family or other activities. As a mom of 3 young children who is very involved in her community...this was important to me. I found that with my former company, I am not able to do this…

With that said, I decided to join MiaBella with my friend Alethea Anderson and have been soaring ever since.

Ladyr,

I am starting with Partylite and it looks like so much fun!

This is so easy to share-I hadn't even got started with them hardly, and shared alittle with a few friends, and I have 2 Catalog shows already and my boss is interested in buying for her employees.
It is so easy to share!
*The candles burn all the way to the bottom, leaving only the wick and the candles are food-grade parrifin-you could eat it!
They've been in business since 1965,actually Mabel Baker started started crafting her own candles in the 1900's!

I plan on making $600 or over my first month with the business and thats only in doing a few shows!
Thats why I switched, with the potential to earn a great income is there!

My Upline is sharing on facebook and is doing really well!!
She's been in PL for 15 years!
I would pm you, but you said you already know about PL,so I won't!
Feel free to send me a pm if you have questions!

I would like to start selling candles again. I'm just not too sure about the autoship options. I attempted to sell candles a few years ago and they went to an autoship method and it hurt me more than helped because no one really bought the candles because they were not fimilar with the company and when autoship took place, I was stuck with candles being shipped to me that I wasn't selling. I was really my own customer because I bought most of the candles for gifts.

I do thank you all for listing your company because it gives others like myself options to choose from and know what's out there.

JolenaMiller
12-07-2009, 05:36 PM
I would like to give my view on the autoship. I also did not know what would be best, a monthly autoship or a monthly or quarterly quota.

Then I realized very quickly that with an autoship of 30.00 a month, that is 90.00 a quarter. This compares to a minimum order of 150.00 a quarter which must be obtained all in 1 month. Also, I was getting product that was resellable - with the autoship for the company I choose, every product is very resellable and has a value of 45.00. That out of the way, I can keep the autoship for myself as a business expense, or sell.... no more worries about sales quotas for the month, or scrambling to order. Receiving the same high commission percentage on all sales - to me it makes the autoship soooo worth it.

I also know that if something were to happen that I could not go out and get sales for 3 months, I will not be terminated - yes, I will have the monthly expense, but again - can sell those products if needed. Then, when ready, I just pick up right where I left off and my team is still in place, etc. With a little recruiting efforts adding to the mix, my autoship is paid for each month as well.

I think everyone needs to realize that there is a company out there for everyone. I was with a larger candle company and was in a management position and had a pretty good size downline and left to join a relatively new company and people thought I was crazy. But there was "needs" I had that weren't being meet by the company I was with, and I dont regret the change one bit, it was the best decision I had ever made. So that's the beauty of direct sales, there is something for everyone !!!! And I agree 100% you have to love the products you sell or it's difficult to be successful !

You are right, not all candle companies have autoship, but they all have quotas. Some come in the form of a monthly autoship, whereas the others are a monthly or quarterly quota. So I think it all boils down to what you are more comfortable with. Some prefer to have the autoship and not having to worry about having to reach a personal sales quota to earn a commission on their downline. While other like the ability to spread their quota over a few months. Good luck in your search. :)

In my experience with direct sales companies, if there's a quota for sales to earn any commissions or higher commissions, there's usually also a quota to meet to earn from your downline's sales as well.

I agree there is a candle business for every person.

I chose Scent-Sations because I love to burn candles and MiaBella's in my opinion are the very best on the market today!

I also went with them because after being with another very active and known warmer company and seeing all the problems in that company with backorders and $500 a month quota's etc etc I decided
I didn't need the drama.

I love that with this candle business I can:
*Retail the products in retail establishments,
*Buy wholesale and sell retail,
*Earn CASH from day one (with our powerlaunch systems)
*No pressure with Quota's (busy Mom's don't need pressure)
*I can conduct amazing home party events,
*There are company bomuses that reward me for my hard work
AND * there are specific our team bonuses!!

After trying the others, the rest, I went to the BEST!

Wishing all much success in whichever company you chose !
