I work a few different work at home jobs. All except the little texting stuff on the phone. Mainly sales.. some customer service. I have been working on my early childhood degree. I do intend to open a child care center one day. But that is years off. And I do intend to finish it. But ws just wondering if any degrees help in getting better or higher paying work at home jobs.
Just thinking out loud here.. but curious. :) Thanks.

I think it all depends on what you're looking to do from home. Many companies have "regular" employees work from home. For instance, a friend of mine is a program manager for a software company and works from home 60% of the time. They're talking about having him work from home full-time. He has an MBA. On the other hand, I don't have a degree and I'm a freelance writer. So, I think it just depends what you're looking to do.

I am looking more at the area I am in but possibly moving up as a supervisor in sales or customer service.
The way I am doing my degree I will be finishing an associates in general studies first. So that with experience may be good enough.

A degree or continuing your education is always a great idea. The world is a much more competitive place due to globalization and this hideous economy. Sounds like you have a good plan.
Wishing you the best,

Not really a degree, but taking courses in transcription can also open up some work at home opportunities.

I am of the opinion that a degree can never hurt and although I am really new to this work at home job search adventure, i would offer this advice to any one seeking a degree to work at home or out in the world, make sure you research, research and more research. I choose criminal justice because my thought ( and I was told) there would always be a call for someone with this degree and while I only have my associates I have not been able to find anything. It is not because my degree is bad it is just because times are bad I think. Also make sure it is something you will love, which my degree is and at some point I will pursue more education but at this time I just cant. So now I find myself thinking I wish I would have taken writing classes or anything else that might help me in this work at home thing, but I am sure with enough searching I will find something I can do and I am sure you will too.
