Hi. I am sure you have seen this post many times. But here is what I am looking for. I have a daughter that I homeschool, so I need something in the evening or hours that are flexible. I dont want to sell anything or I dont have time to talk on the phone. I need something like writing, writing reviews, or I would even be willing to do texting, if it paid well. My husbands job is not paying what it needs to and we knew that moving out here to AZ. But I need to help out and bring in what I can for the family.
If anyone can send me some leads or just let me know who is hiring that would fit into my schedule, I would be greatly appreciate it.
Thanks and have a great day!!!!
Lori

My blog focuses around non phone work that you can do on your own schedule. There's a wide variety of info including GPT (get paid to) sites, surveys, freelance sites, etc. It also details all my earnings so you can see how I've done with these places since I started in late September. I made about $240 last month, but since it was my first month I should easily be able to build on that.
How much are you looking to earn?
There are texting sites hiring (namely KGB) but people report that they only make 2-3 dollars an hour on average during busy times.
An accumulation of survey sites can be a pretty nice supplement to any income, but some people don't like doing them - and you have to be patient enough to stick with them while the money accrues.
I'll PM you a link to the review I did of all the programs I used in October - let me know if I can give ya any further info on anything!
(edit to add)
Freelance writing is also a great option if you feel you can do it. Some of the sites recommended to people who are just starting out are TextBroker and Associated Content. You can probably get on with TextBroker at 1¢ a word. While it's not a lot of cash (especially since you do have to do some research on the topics you write about) it can really add up to something decent if you put the effort into it.
DemandStudios pays really well from what I understand, but they're higher ranked and harder to get on with.

Do you feel like you have useful information you can write articles about? You can write how-to articles on ehow on anything more than common sense. I have numerous articles there, but they are not based on referrals at all. I can link you to mine for an example though. How to Get Your Motorcycle License | eHow.com (http://www.ehow.com/how_5186501_motorcycle-license.html). This is only one, but it gives you an idea. Bukisa and AC are also places you can write for but I'm not as familiar with them. I have a referral for Bukisa if you are interested. Otherwise transcription, surveys, ptc sites (they take forever to earn though...) and there's so much more.

I would also suggest writing articles for some quick cash. You can also make it work for you if you have a knack for it. DS is harder to get on with but you can make really good money there and so many titles to choose from. I make easy money with AC and I average about $5 an article there. I quickly did 10 articles on friday and got a little over $50 today, You get upfront payments as well as residuals from page views your articles get, I dont get that much per month but I am working on that.
Textbroker will accept just about anyone. Once you sign up, write a test article for them, they will give you a rating, many of us start off with a 3 which is not bad and you get to choose from articles rated 3 and under. They pay twice a month but you can really make good money there and there is always many articles to write.
Blogging for pay is what I also do because it really does not require alot on my part. Have a blog that has been active a certain amount of time, sign up to places and take it from there, I have made thousands over the months and years just doing that but there are penalties for doing sponsored content that way but hey, Im still living and not complaining, lol.
These suggestions I have given you, you can make hundreds per month and not pennies, if you really want to. I love the idea of waking up and knowing that I can sign in somewhere and actually make as much as I want to that day and not wait for work. Read every post in this forum, in every folder. Good Luck!!

I gotta admit. I am jealous that you are making way more than I do online for now. I have 6 blogs total but planning to have some blogs in wordpress style to be on my own website and be able to showcase my writing ability online. I have been a demand studios writer since October 13 which was 3 days past my 30th b day. In a way, it's a present there. I only made $15 so far and for my second attempt to be one of their writers, I got in and was happy. I have read that there were a few who weren't so lucky on their third try. Hopefully will be able to make a couple grands sometime next year even though I will have a fourth girl in early February next year.

I to am looking for work at home job, that doesn't require me to be on the phone. I have a two year old and a five month old and a twelve year old that is always hungry when he gets home from school, so it wouldn't be idea I am doing the m turk thing but the only thing is I haven't made a whole lot of money doing that. Even though it doesn't take long to get approved or rejected. I'm not sure what type of work I'm looking for I don't have alot of experience, but I am hard worker, and very focused. Something like a text operator (non-adult) like they have on alot of websites or filling out documents if there is something like that. I just need to find something to help my husband out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are a few people on here that have blogs centered on non-phone jobs so check their sigs. Like many people mentioned you can write, I am just getting started on Helium and Squidoo. If you want to do KGB I would suggest getting a couple other things going so that you can be working multiple jobs at once to make it worth your time. IMShopping is great for something like that or you can write product reviews for Wanelo or Shopping.com. Or ChaCha but I don't think they are currently hiring. If you get a bunch of those smaller ones that don't keep you busy enough on their own but do them together it will keep you busy and pay better. Good luck!
Also---RAZZ- can you tell me who you do the paid blogging through. I just started blogging a couple months ago and have been looking to get into something like that to make more. I have not been around long enough yet for payperpost. Thanks!

I would love it if someone would give me a place to start on this. I would love to do some blogging and writing articles. Just not sure where to start or how to start my own blog. So, Razz if you could point me in the right direction with that, I would greatly appreciate it. And anyone else out there for that matter....
Thanks,
Lori

Hey Lori.
I am a freelance writer/blogger since July 2008. I started off by writing at ehow.com and then added in a few more residual income writing sites. I suggest that you get your feet wet at Associated Content which everyone here would agree with me. And then try to apply at Texbroker.com for some more writing work experience but you get paid only upfront if the articles you wrote were accepted. I once made $175 in May this year. I gave up on them though since I am now a writer at Demand Studios. Hopefully, if you get more than enough writing credit, you might get lucky on your first, second, etc try just like I am.
And as for blogging, have a blog to start off at blogger.com to get a feel. I am still waiting to get my Chase card so then I can register for my own domain name. I need a website of my own plus a few blogs on there to showcase my writing work and stick on some things in order to get residual income. Every little bit helps. When you get more than enough experience writing on blogger, you can try to switch it to wordpress since I know most professional people uses it compare to Blogger.
Let me know if you need more help. Can email me at lauriehomebusiness@gmail.com
Thanks,
Lori

Hi, there is actually a sticky in the blogging folder that many of us, including myself mostly, that talks about blogging for pay. Just to give you a brief overview of what to expect, here goes.... There are many ways to actually do this. There are people who blog for the love of blogging and actually have good content, and then there is me, blog strictly for money. If you look at my blog you will see links to products or whatever, those are all paid. Of course there are other links as well, just to blend it in, lol.
I first started with blogger.com and then when I had $10 in my paypal, I invested in buying the name and google(which owns blogger) hosts it for a year. So to have my site only costs $10 a year. I can make that in one paid ad.
Now when you start, you will not be rolling in the dough, so you have to find what works for you, get your site going and take it from there. I am not bragging or anything just letting you know how things goes on my end, there is still more but I dont want to go into it here.
Like I mentioned before there are penalties to doing paid blogging, google frowns upon that and therefore will strict you of a pr, but there are ways around that, I learned that the hard way.
If doing paid ads are not your thing because you dont feel like writing ads about acne, cars, or whatever the link is ( paid ads are usually links they give you and you have to find a way to put it in a blog post) , then you can genuinly start a site, gain readership, use adsense to make money..I have heard people have luck with that but so not my thing, and take it from there.
As I said there is much more info, tips and sites that you can find in the blogging folder, if you want to start a blog from now to get things going, ok, but dont start one today and think you can get paid tomorrow, many places want your blog to be at least a couple of months old. I know that many people have blogs already so that suggestion is really for them. But if you do start one now, before you know it, time flies by and you can sign up to various places. Oh, and your blog topic can be about whatever. I think I just wrote an article here lol. Anymore questions, let me know
Thanks,
Lori

I have a totally non phone blog (in my siggy). Razz is right about blogging, you can make good money doing it she was my teacher (Thanks Razz:) Anyway, I have 3 blogs going right now, 2 with sponsored posts and 1 with adsense...I also do writing for a couple of companies and also keyword qa for Associated Content. I do craigs list posting as well. I have 3 little boys and I am going to school full time right now and trying to set myself up for when I actually start nursing school next spring or fall. I will still need to bring in some money with a very limited amount of time:)
Good luck to you though:)

what does that mean? strict you of a pr? everytime i make up my mind to start one thing. i read about something else that might be more fun or more lucrative. its hard to decide. i was going to try to be a tutor, then i read some more and decided to write, then i read more and want to blog :-). its been about a week since i have been reading. i really want to get started. have been doing some craigslist searches, for editing and proofreading jobs, then i come full circle and think about writing again. *Sigh* i plan to get started soon anyhow.

What says you can't do all three? You can do tutoring, writing and blogging. In fact, it is probably a good idea to do more than one thing. Working at home can be feast or famine and it is good to have a variety of eggs:)

I agree with the last person. You can have your cake and eat it too on all three of those areas. Do NOT rely on only one basket if you know what I mean. You have some great ideas where you have the potential to have multiple streams of income.
