Hi! I've been working as a rater for about a month now and love it, except for the porn results. I figured I'm not a prude, I can handle some porn, so when I signed up, I said I was willing to rate porn queries. However, the porn queries/results that I have been getting are so out there, so gross, so unimaginable that I don't think I can take it and may have to tell them "no more porn, thanks."
My question is, has anyone else had to do this? If you say no to rating porn, do you get less work or see any adverse effects at all?

Did they send you an email in which you accepted porn tasks? If you did, I would just say your circumstances have changed, and you can't rate porn any more. If you didn't, then it may be the random porn results that pop up for everyone every once in a while. I don't think there's much that can be done about that, other than just releasing them. I'm with WFL, but I was sent an email when I first started asking if I'd be willing to do them. I didn't accept because I have small children at home. I do still occasionally have random porn pop up, and will on go ahead and rate it if my kids aren't around, or it isn't really offensive to me. Most of the time I just release the task when I see it's porn though.

I said OK to porn also, but fortunately haven't gotten much of anything besides "big butts" lol. I can see how this would turn my opinion towards humanity pretty quickly though :(

There is usually a warning before you start rating porn results and if I cant handle it I also just release the task

When I signed up, I stated I would not rate adult sites. Rarely but sometimes these sites still appear. I don't think it affects the amount of work I have.

When I was a rater I accepted the porn, but didn't get it frequently. The way I looked at it, if there is only porn to be rated and it's that or nothing at all, I'd rather rate the porn and put my feelings about it aside. It's a personal decision, but when tasks can be hard to come by, I would take anything I could get. I'm certain you won't lose your position if you ask to be removed from the porn tasks.
