Just wondering if anyone has any experience selling books and if there is a preference between eBay and Amazon. I have a ton of new and used books that I want to sell. I have a store on ebay (eBay Store - Eddyz Toys Comics and Collectibles: Superhero, Collectibles, Diecast vehicles (http://www.EddyzToyz.com)) where I sell a lot of toys. I have a lot of toy related books and wondered if I should put them in the store or post them on Amazon. I set up a seller account with Amazon but it seems there are so many there who sell at such low prices I can't imagine making any money. Whaddya think?

I don't have alot of experience but what I have is good. I recently posted a set of 12 little dinosaur board books in a carrying case on eBay. Didn't make a ton but it did sell. When buying I usually buy from eBay or half.com. It seems like a lot of ft book sellers go the half.com route. Half.com is related to eBay so you may want to check that out. Use your listings on eBay or half to draw more customers into your store where the rest of the listings are.

I have never sold on Amazon, but I would imagine it is a good place to sell books also. Many people look there first and that means a large pool of potential customers. However, I have also had good experience selling books on ebay. They sell most of the time, but usually not for a lot of money.

Ebay will now show your half .com entries if price is more than $1.

Just try posting a few and see what the results are. If it works well, you can then post more. If no, that means you'll have to find some other channels for your items. You don't have to spend to much time to think and guess. Posting a few items just cost you a few bucks which is nothing in the business perspective.
