Hello All! My name is Rose and I've just joined. I started BC in February and so far, not so good. I even did a bridal fair and could not get a party booked to save my life! Can anyone help me and give me advice on how to get people to do a party for me?

Hi Rose,
Welcome to BeautiControl and Wahm! Here you will find a lot of support. The ladies in this board Rock!!!
I would suggest to carry your flip cards to explain what you do and to romance the neckwrap. The neckwrap is a wonderful gift for them to relieve stressed muscles on the neck and shoulders and the aromatherapy is to die for. Also, you may want to meet them on a one-on-one basis and pamper them. This way they can experience the products and the session and will be most likely to sign as a consultant or book a Spa.
If you have time to do Spas during the day, you can offer local employers a complementary Employee appreciation Spa retreat. Schools, churches, etc are also good places to visit. You find all kinds of leads, future spas and recruits.
Join the Chamber of Commerceor find out where they have their mixing for non-members. Visit your local Real Estates offices and offer them a flier for their new home owner's welcome pack.
Join the gym and build relationship with other women who are trying to improve themselves.
Every time you are out and about, talk to at leastpeople at day about your business. Right a 30 second commercial and practice. Ask fortheir information/phone number and when is a good time for you to call them.
I'm sure you will read more suggestions and supporting words from other BCconsultants. They are all awesome!!!
Keep it up and don't give up. It takes time to find out what works for you.
Good luck!!!

Did you have a drawing at the Bridal Fair and havea box they could mark if they wanted to host a Spa?
That way you could touch base with them.
Check out health fairs, they are usually free and a good way to meet people.
I just had a meeting with a fancy apartment complex and they booked me for evenings for an entire week to Spa residents as a treat. They are going to cater it and all.
Just brainstorm to get your name out and start building up Spas. Do you have family/friends who woudl be willing to help you get started?
Good luck, I know you can build and grow. It takes some effort, but the rewards are amazing.
I have learned when things are rough and not going well, I need to stop and turn them over to God. It ALWAYS gets better.
Try reading "The Dream Giver by Bruce WIlkinson.

Itzy and Tess answered your questions so well, that I don't have much to add! LOL
Did you have a spa party right after you started? If not, hold one at your house to get interest!
You could also invite some friends and neighbors over for a GNO. I did one here to introduce them to BeautiControl and got quite a few bookings! This doesn't have to be done in a party setting. I participated in the GNO and that made it more fun for everyone!
Good luck! Like Itzy said, don't give up!

Welcome to BC and wahm.com, Rose!
You may find your business to be a trial/error experience at first. Sales is that way. Unfortunately, there's no magic wand that you can wave and *poof* everything is right. I wish there was!!!
Please don't overlook your unit for resources. I was blown away by the amazing ideas that were shared at the unit meeting I attended. It wasn't my unit, even. My is out of state. I don't know if your unit is local or not. If not, don't let that be an excuse!
Come up with your own amazing hostess program and monthly specials. Change things on a regular basis to keep people interested and not know what to expect next. Keep in mind too that wherever you go, you are a Rep of your company. By always wearing BC products, or even promotional accessories, you may spark up interest and even a conversation with people.
www.directsaleshelpers.com (http://www.directsaleshelpers.com) is a great resource! Hopefully you can find more information you need there!
I wish you all the best in your new journey w/ BC!

Hi Rose and WELCOME!! smileys/smiley2.gif
Our Director just sent us this telephone script to get parties booked. Maybe this will be helpful for you:
Hi, this is ____________ and I'm calling because there's a contest going on and
if I book 4 spas in the next 30 minutes every one of my hostesses will win a Spa
Bistro Mini. But that's not all...you'll also get our
fabulous $25 heated neck wrap...and if you book in March, I'll be doing an
incredible 4-step lipstick makeover on you...everyone will love it...and you'll
also receive your full size lip color from the makeover FREE! Plus you can earn
all kinds of other goodies!!! I just need 2 more spas...can you help me out???
You could edit it with your own incentives but start there and see where it goes. I'm doing a display at my local Curves for Women (women's fitness center) this Saturday morning and am giving away a mini lotion some chocolates in a cute chiffon bag to anyone who books a spa. I'm also going to have a drawing for a free foot creme.
Good LUCK!!
