Hi Ladies,

Do you find yourself addicted to party plan? Like wanting to host or at least see other shows done, ordering from others etc?

I just love going to other shows, and watching other reps work their business. My problem now is I am addicted to purchasing others products. smileys/smiley9.gif

I think I need PPA! Party Plan Anonymous! LOL

Yep, I need PPA too, lol. My prob is than none of my friends ever host shows so I never get invited to any and I know if I tryed to host one my turn out would be so low. smileys/smiley19.gif

My parties are usually very good when I hold them for other companies. My friends know how much I love to entertain and will attend if it is something I am passionate about!

I am having a Pampered Chef party on Saturday and already the consultant is trying to recruit me. That would be starting a business way outside my comfort zone! LOL I am a messy cook!!!

Maybe I need a PPA group too! Not only am I my best customer with my own products, but others as well!

Cinnamon! I'm right there with ya. I wouldn't mind going to some otherfriends' parties, but few have them. And when "I" host one, I can invite 30+ people and only have 5 that show! smileys/smiley19.gif PPA here we come!

Wow, guys. I would love you to do a party for me. LOL

The funny thing is that my friends never think I would want to attend. I have to hear them talking about it and invite myself. LOL Well, not that bad, but I have to remind them that just because I have my own business doesn't mean I don't want to support other DS women.

Two responses that I've heard is that they felt bad because it's not a party for me or my company or I've heard them say that they thought I would be busy doing my own party.

By the way, I'm in San Diego, CA if anyone is doing a show in my area. LOL

I hear ya Jody! I had a friend call me today and tell me I needed to have a Tupperware party because she needs something and she knows I'm the "party queen". But I've also done 2 parties of differing things since Jan. so I'm done for a while.

I have a problem having big parties too! I usually only have $300 parties. But I can go do $1,000 parties. Too funny.

My husband gets irritated that I book them all the time. I had a Home & Garden show in January, and In April i'm having a Pampered Chef, in June i'm having Meghans Pantry. LOL

I just love what we do! It's so much more fun than shopping at at store. smileys/smiley32.gif

For those of you who have them all of the time, what do you do for your guest lists? Do you invite the same people all the time? I am having a party for something I'm not very interested in as a swap, but would love to have another one (like BYB or PC) but I assume whatever the 2nd is I would have low attendance and a LOT of eye rolling when they get their invites. Just wondering... A little off topic....

Hey Jody, I'm in that boat too!!smileys/smiley36.gif My own parties are usually only whatever the bare minimum is for the company, but I can go do huge ones. In fact I just a Stampin Up party in Jan. with a friend who sells. My party was only $200. She did a NLAH party in turn for me and was $675! It always happens. I have cheap friends and I tell them that plus, my firends always get a booking (me), but no one will book back. The only parties I've seemed to have that are good are Watkins parties. Everyone LOVES to eat and do a little grocery shopping there.

I do one party a year, and I won'trequire itto bea swap, though if she wants to, that's great. I pick one company that is fun and new that I want to introduce my friends to.

I limit it because I am selfish and want my nights to be able to work my own business, do my volunteer work and spend with my family.

I do however love to support other WAH moms.

My name is Stephanie and I am a PPA. LOL!!! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

I can't get most party plan's products because I am overseas. I love Partylite candles and Tastefully Simple but can't book the parties because of their company policies. I decided to narrow down which company's do and which don't ship to military overseas by starting a Yahoo group for only companies that ship to AE,AA,AP etc. I am confronting my addiction......and now I am nourishing it!!! smileys/smiley32.gif

Now, I can buy the products in a swapping/shopping group without having to find a consultant or know anyone to invite to a party!! The internet is a great way for those of us addicted to get the stuff, although the party isn't happening http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif

I guess I could do catalog parties for any of these businesses instead??? Oooh what a great idea!!! smileys/smiley3.gif

Home parties are a lot of fun! When the home party thing is in a slump there is always catalog parties! I have done very well with those - and so have my hostesses!!!!!

Sometimes hostesses would rather take a more casual approach~ I'm always happy to do catalog parties~
