I have lots of questions about kgb. I am starting my training tomorrow. 1st~ I know you are an idependent contractor, but what does that mean?? you just get a 1099?? 2nd~ is pay per the questions you answer or by the hour. I see a lot of post on here... some saying the make $1.50 per hr, others saying they make $3... so I was wondering if it varied so much because it was actually per question??? 3rd~ What are the pros and cons?, like, how hard is it to find answers, how long are sitting between questions, can you do other stuff on the web while waiting, etc. I know these are alot of questions, but any information will be helpful. THANKS!!!!

1) Independent Contractor means they do not take out taxes. None. You have to keep up with that stuff. You will get a 1099 at the end of the year and you file your taxes like normal with that and will owe state and federal taxes.
2) You are paid per question. When we say $1.50 an hour, that just stating how quickly we can get questions done.
3) If you pay attention and learn from others it isn't hard. You have to know how to use search engines and how to use keywords or else questions are going to be hard to find. You can do other things while waiting for a question (just open another window or tab). It's usually slow in the day time and I usually wait no longer than a minute or 2 in between questions at the slowest times.
Feel free to ask anything,

Another thing with being an independent contractor is that when you file your federal taxes, you want to file a Schedule C or C-EZ form. This determines how much business expenses you can write off, like Internet costs in order to do your business, etc. And this form also determines how much you'll owe, tax-wise, froom the earnings of your "business" as a KGB Special Agent.
Also, with answering questions for KGB, you have to be very quick to accept the questions that are posted. The questions are put out to the Agents and it's a first come first serve basis. So, if you want to make money, you have got to accept the questions fast.
That's the only problem I saw with KGB. There are a lot of people working as agents and they're all competing for the same questions.
