View Full Version : First Pick-Up

I'm hoping someone can answer this question quickly. I am a new
consultant. So new, in fact, that I am going to my first pick up in
about an hour. I found a list of what I should bring somewhere and now
I can't find it. This person is not interested in the business but I
know (at least am pretty sure) that she will buy some products. Besides
the calculator, catalog, and sign up application what else should I
bring?

Thanks for all the help. I have been lurking on this site and have learned a lot already.

Do you know what she might be interested in buying? Maybe you could bring some of your products to show her and let her experience them for herself...just a thought. And even though you "know" ( I put that in quotation marks because you'll find out you never know!) she's not interested in the business, try to touch on it a little bit because she may know someone who is looking for this exact thing! Just a thought!

She has tried the RE9 system for a couple of days. I have some more
products coming but they haven't arrived yet. All I have is my own
samples of the hand cream and the herbal foot cream. I will throw those
in, just in case. I will be asking her for referrals. However, I'm
pretty sure she's not interested in the business since she told me she
would try the products but I was not to try to get her involved in my
pyramid scheme.smileys/smiley2.gif

Yikes! Pyramid scheme, huh...well, at least she's trying the products! Just speak from your heart and see where it goes from there, listen to your gut and let us know how it goes!! Good Luck!

Follow Up

I made my first sale and have my first consultant. She is not
interested in being a BB. She didn't care to hear my presentation but
that was alright with me. She liked the product. She didn't buy the
entire RE9 set but most of the products and bought some of the acne
line for her daughter. However, I had her make out the check to the
company and I am thinking that I should have just had her make it out
to me. I was running late for a dinner party and wasn't thinking
clearly. Any suggestions as to what I should do? I know her well, so I
could easily ask her to write a new one. However, if there is another
options I would rather not ask.

Did you sign her up online or with the form? I have done all mine
online so I am not sure how it works if you do the form and fax it in,
I would assume they would want payment via CC. But I'm not sure.

Congrats on the sale! Generally when people sign up once, they come back for more products throughout the year!

From what I remember, Arbonne does not take checks directly, you have to use a credit or debit card, so the customers make the check out to you and you use your card. I don't know if you can mail a check in, I have never done that in 2 years...

Great Job RoxieLynn!!! I've found that once someone starts using the products they're hooked! That's awesome! As far as the check goes, I agree with the others. The best thing to do is get a CC and if she's signing up as a consultant you'll need to get her SS# too. If someone wants to write a check it needs to be made out to you.

Keep up the good work!!smileys/smiley32.gif
