I've heard from several other agents that they got rid of shadowing (i've been an agent for several months now). When did they do this and why?!

I have not heard that they got rid of shadowing. I'm also interested in finding out when they did this and why.

Last time kgb_ got rid of shadowing it was to fill shifts without filling the QA queue with reviews. It resulted in very poor answer quality. I believe it is a cost cutting measure, but have no solid facts to prove it.

I agree wahinmyjammies that we need to be reviewed more often for quality. As a QA I remember when shadowing was done away with for a short time. Can't say that I have heard anything about this again recently.

kgb_ mentioned that shadowing was not being done in a recent email that was sent yesterday. Check your email, or I can send it to you if you like :)

I just rechecked my emails that they have sent and I don't see any of them mentioning nixing shadowing. Please send me the info. Thanks :)

I haven't heard that. It must be fairly recent though. I was doing shadowing at the beginning of the month.

I haven't seen any email from kgb_ talking about removing shadowing. The only emails were about the Halloween contest and UK info.
No shadowing reviews have been available in the QA queue for awhile now.

sorry guys. I just realized that the email was specifically from my op to our unit. So you all are right, everyone did not get the email about shadowing. :)
