Is anyone still with Demand Studios doing Title QA? All of the threads I could find were last commented on awhile back. I applied to the a long time ago and just received an invite to take the quiz. I was wondering if it is worth my time? TIA for any information. :D

I just started doing this about a month ago. It is worth it if you actually have the time to sit at the computer:) I have 3 little boys so it is hard. I keep it for back up and do what I can when I can. I have heard of people making 8.00-10.00 an hour doing it though if you are quick and after some experience. I am not up to that yet, as like I said, I never have time to actually sit down and do it lol.
Good luck and all I can say is try it and see how you do.

Thanks Nat for the feedback! I went ahead and took the quiz and passed. I'm going to sit down this weekend and see how it goes. I am always trying to keep space open for flexible side eggs so at the least it looks like this would fit there. Thank you again :)

I took the test today as well. I have a friend that does it and she averages $10 to $12 an hour. I'm hoping to get on because currently I do transription and make about $10 an hour. However I have two young boys (2 and 10 months) and it's hard to listen to a file if they are awake. Okay, it's impossible. LOL. Anyhow, I thought this was something I could do on my laptop while they are watching a movie or even just playing.

I also got an invite. I hope to take the test later today. I would love to have another egg to add to my basket.

Are they still hiring for this position? I see writer, film maker and copy editor, but no Title QA and I assume that's different from Copy editor. (I don't actually see any descriptions of the jobs on the app page.)

I just started and was curious. I know they pay by Paypal, but could not find the info on how often.
Thanks

Did you hear anything back yet? Sorry it took me so long to reply I have family in for the week we are getting ready for the Halloween party. According to my email I got the acceptance on Friday at 5:17pm EST so I must have taken it around 4pm or so.

I applied for this ages ago and took the quiz about a month ago and have still not heard back yet. On their website my account for that position still says under review so I haven't been rejected yet. Seeing some people hear back so fast makes me think my application was lost along the way somewhere? Anyone elses take so long?

They usually don't reply to you unless you're accepted. It depends on what your score is and what their needs are. They bring new people on every so often and they will pick from the applicants on file. So even if you don't hear anything now, you might later!

It's not too long. 10 or 20 questions and less than 30 minutes for sure. Just keep the guidelines open on your computer so you can reference them if you need to!

It's Demand Studios. There are strings on it in the "WAHM's Who Write" forum that'll give you a feel for the pros/cons. The site is Freelance Jobs | Demand Studios (http://www.demandstudios.com). I've been pretty happy but have only been with them about two months.
Good luck!

I'm new and was just wondering...in the application field for DS it says to upload a resume and writing sample, my question is, is it possible to get a job there if you don't have relevant credentials? I mean, I've done some freelance writing but as an IC, therefore I don't have any "samples" to offer them. TIA for any info.

I received the invitation a few days ago and was debating as to whether it would be worth my time or not. After reading this thread, I decided to take the test this morning. I have a tendency to over-analyze things so not sure how I did.
It is slow this morning with my transcription job, so read through the guidelines and tested for the Title QA position. I'm all about non-phone jobs right now. :)

Well, I got my welcome letter on Wednesday afternoon!! YEAH!! They sent me the Keyword QA test first and then sent me the one for Title QA. The way it seems is that you first have to pass Keyword to get into the Title QA one. I have a friend that took the Title QA but didn't pass and still got i as a Keyword QA. Anyhow, I worked on Wednesday night and made $73! I'm up to $90 something now and plan to work it all weekend. This is an amazing find for me beause of having two small boys (10 months and 2 years). I can do it while they are playing or watching a movie, which I didn't like to do with transcription because of wearing headphones.
Has anyone heard that applied?

Hello! I finally decided to come aboard. What a great forum! This may be a dumb question, but concerning the Title QA, is this a job that requires any degree to do. When I looked on the site, nothing was mentioned, other than to e-mail an interest for the position. If someone could give me any insight on this, it would be appreciated.
TIA!!

Nope. I just sent and email and said something like, "I am interested in apply for the Keyword QA position. May I please have the test? Thanks!" I took the Keyword QA test and then they said they wanted me to go further and sent me a test for Title QA. I guess it's a higher position or something I'm not sure. I think you can email and just ask for the Title QA though.

I applied for a Title Proofer about 1 month ago and heard back right away, but they offered for me to test for the Title Editing Position. I am not sure if they still have this position, but it did not look too difficult and I felt like I did good on the test. I actually just took the test, so I am not sure if they will contact me since I waited so long to take the test. I will let you all know if I hear back :)

Strawbery- Go to the FAQ and there is an email address there for you to inquire with them about the position.
Melinda - That is what I did, Title Editing. I really like it, however, they had a minimum I had to do weekly and it was hard to hit it with a toddler, a preschooler, and doing transcription. Good luck!

Thank you for letting me know. I am doing Google Rating right now and my contract ends this month, so I really needed to find something steady. The only other job that I have is online tutoring and I usually do that 4-5 hours a week, and I can do less hours. I have a 3 year old, 14 month old and another one on the way, so I am hoping to get this job.

I just received the email to test for TQA, too. I have requested it several times, so I'm hopeful that I will do well and pass it.
I read this entire thread and I see general pay from a year ago. Can anyone tell me if this is still what you are making?
TIA!!

I tested too! I noticed a lot of people were stating they were not contacted back. Note in the invite, due to the volume of applicants they get, they only contact people who they are interested in. So if they DON'T contact you back, more than likely you were not selected.
From my understanding if you pass, they contact you back pretty quick. Just by looking at some of the ones who did it in this thread, they were contacted back within hours.
I did mine around 10a CST, and haven't gotten a response back, so I'm not going to dwell on it...

Yeah..... I'm not going to get excited about this one - I'll keep checking my email, but if I don't hear anything back today, I'm just going to consider that I was not accepted. To me that is the best way to look at it since you don't want to be worrying about that for days.

I was so excited when I got the email today with the test for Title QA today. I had applied for this back in August so I was feeling really good. I took my time reading the materials and then took the test about two hours ago. Haven't heard anything since. I wasn't thinking anything of it until I spotted this and how some people said they heard back right away. Now I'm feeling a little bummed. I'm involved with quite a few different work at home positions, but I like having a variety of things to work on. Maybe we are all accepted, but they are a little slower with sending out the acceptance email!

Well, here's hoping that I hear from them later either for the same or another opening.

You can apply to write, film, or edit copy right off their home page - https://www.demandstudios.com/application.html?role=FilmMaker (change the check boxes)
For the other roles I *think* you can only apply when they are hiring for those positions. I had applied months ago for the Title Editor position when it was on their regular application form and only got the test this week.
