I've been brainstorming on ideas of places to go to sell beyond the usual business office and thought I'd start a list here and hopefully everyone will add to it :) I'll start the list with a couple that I can think of off the top of my head.

Psychic fairs/New age stores
Tattoo parlors

I take advantage of telemarketers that call our home... :D Yep i've gotten 1 sale from pitching to a telemarketer and that person has been a regular buyer ever since... LOL

I pass out my card at the Walmart Candle Isle hehehe I once, "accidentally" left a few cards at one of the shelves, and the walmart manager called me to tell me that I was not allowed to do that, but that she herself had gone home and checked my website out and now buys candles from me.

One of my consultants told me that she leaves cards everywhere... and if her cards gets thrown, then so be it.. May be, just may be, one of her cards that they throw out will get blown in the wind and just might land at the feet of a candle lover... LOL You have to admit. That is one heck of a great way of looking at things.. :D

I also have gotten sales by taking the envelopes I get with those cc solicitation offers and returning them back with a sample, a flier and a business card.

Just a couple of "out of the box" ideas that has actually worked for me...

The card idea is a great one, it is called 'card dropping'. You intentionally leave cards high traffic places where it appears they may have been 'dropped'.

Gas Pump
ATM Machine
Counter at the Post Office
Bench at the Gym
Mirror in a public restroom
Shopping Cart (in the cart line where people will be taking the carts, not the lot where attendants will toss them)

Have fun with this one!

Yes, ALethea, I'm into card dropping too. lol
And a brochure mysteriously falls out of my bag WHEREVER I go....dance studio, chinese restaurants, sub shops, doctors offices, soccer field, changing room at swim class, places people wait .....
