I don't know if this is because I am new, or because I am a total gump. Anytime someone asks me what I do, I fumble all of my words and I sound like a total imbasol- and who wants to have a spa when the Consultant stutters and stammers her words?
I tell them that I provide for them a day-spa atmosphere at home, then explain some of the things that we do. People usually look at me with a blank look and then I start to get nervous and fumble my words and start feeling uncomfortable.
Any suggestions?

My best advice is to carry a flip card in your purse that outlines our spa parties. I show people the relaxation page...you know the one where they are sitting there with the eye pads and lip apeel on! This helps them visualize the relaxation part of the spa. Sometimes they will take it from me and look thru the whole thing!
Give it a try!

Thanks, that is a good suggestion. But what about if I'm talking to someone over the phone?
I just want to be able to blurt out everything I need to, but I never really know what to say.
I guess I need to sit down, figure out and memorize my "30 second commercial".

Follow the hostess script found on your beautipage. That also works well!
Yes, your 30 second commercial can also help!

It always helps me to type or write out what I want to say. I keep it in front of me when I'm doing all of my calls.

Sometimes if I feel myself getting nervous, instead of going on..I pause, collect my thoughts and then go on. Sometimes just taking a breath and kind of "recomposing" helps...plus the little pause gives the other person/people a chance to ask questions or interject.
