The day I go to a retirement home for a pampering session for the residents!smileys/smiley1.gif

I am not allowed to technically sell anything, but I am going to give the Activities Director a goody bag, and let each resident keep a sample (with my label on it of course!!), so hopefully that will get me more interest.

Have any of you ever done events at retirement homes? This is my first time and I am kind of nervous. smileys/smiley36.gif

That is sooooooo cool. You know what Tammy. If all you reap from this is alot of smiling faces and some soft hands, think of that. Those ladies and gentlemen will love to see you. Some of them have no family and no one to come to visit other than the nurses.

My grama is in a local home and I take my dog there to see the residents. They LOVE it. You just brought on a new way for me to share with my gramas friends and other patients.

Way to think outside of the box!! I am super proud of you!! You are a TRUE sharing CBBB gal!! smileys/smiley32.gif

Heidi

Can you let us all know how this goes. I know a gentleman that lives in an assisted living place and have been thinking about going and sharing.

Oh my gosh you guys HAVE to do this!
I am going to be in tears---it was the biggest blessing for me in a long time!
The little ladies (there were 6 I think) were so sweet and thankful. One lady insisted that she tip me (a dollarsmileys/smiley36.gif).

One lady had alhzheimers and just wanted company, not the hand treatment, everyone else really enjoyed it.

I wasn't allowed to sell anything so it wasn't a spa show really, just real laid back. I took 4 goody bags and put everyone's name in a drawing and gave away the bags.
You should have seen them with those things! They thought it was Christmassmileys/smiley2.gifAll it was was a party lite tea light, Longaberger notepad, mary kay sample make up card, and a CBBB sample (my ds friends and I put them together).
2 ladies did request catty's so I left them each one.

I told the activities director that I would come back and do this for them again any time.

Even if I never get anything in return it felt so good to do that for them.
I always think of my loved ones and how if they are in a place like that someday I would want people to do nice things like that for them.
I am going to contact our local Senior Citizens place and see if they want me to come in too.

((hugs))
Tammy
