View Full Version : "Gaming" Question

I have a question about gaming. I was reading an old thread and a QA said that if an answer already exists in the database we should use it. Otherwise it could be considered "gaming". However, an agent is responsible for making sure the answer is correct before using it. So technically, isn't in faster just to find it on my own, then to double check someone else's work? A lot of the database answers have wiki for a source or they exceed 102 characters but are a lot less then 160. I don't want to get fired for "gaming" because that's not my intent. I'm just trying to work quickly but don't wnt to recycle bad responses

If you see responses that are inaccurate in the database, make sure to hit the pantsify button. Sometimes, it is quicker to double check the database answers than it is to search for it on your own, and doesn't always take that long to correct, as usually there are multiple sources that you can click on to make sure (rather than searching and looking at various other links).
I'm not understanding why the QA would send that. I, myself am a QA, and it has been my understanding (my start date at kgb_ was Jan 16, or the first day it launched) that it is advised to reuse database answers (it cuts down on answer time, etc), however, it would moreso be considered "gaming" if one just uses any database answer, or sends out an answer with no research, etc.
If you have any questions, you can always ask in chat, as there are always operatives available to clear up any questions or concerns you may have. Try asking an Operative in chat, as that would give you the most accurate answer to your question.
Hope that helped a little, I know it doesn't completely answer the question, but hopefully puts you on the path to getting an answer from a higher-up
