Which days of the week have you found to be the most popular and most successful for holding shows????

Saturdays are usually themost successful days of the week for me personally. Fridays, Saturdays.. Sundays in the afternoon, but not late.. During the week if I had to pick a day I would say wednesdays.

I don't really have a certain day of the week that is more successful but all of my weeknight parties are better with attendance than Saturday and Sunday parties. Around here people will come after work and chill for awhile and get to get out of cooking supper and such. They won't come on the weekend because we all live right at a big lake that everybody spends their weekends at or doing other things. So I only do parties Monday through Friday. It started out to benefit me but ended up doing better for everyone involved.

Along the same lines, do any of you have parties during the day with other WAHMs and such?

It's interesting. People typically want to schedule weekends but it seems like weekends are the ones that cancel the easiest/most frequently. I agree with Krystal that weeknight parties are typically better for attendance. Edited by: christineTOHE

I have never run up on that opportunity here. I know some people that stay home like I do but the majority of who they'd invite work so they do them in the evenings. But again, I live in rural Louisiana so the majority of women work because incomes aren't that great around here.

Without a doubt, thursdays and Fridays, I do some on Sat and Sun too, but is seems that people's weekend plans keep attendendance lower at most of these events.

I prefer Saturdays. I have had good luck with weekday shows, but not if it is too late in the evening. Once people go home from work, they don't always want to get back out.

I generally don't do home parties, but I remember a SLAH consultant
telling me her best day is Thurs evening around 7PM. At first, I would
tend to think weekends are better. However, it does make sense that
family plans would make attendance lower.

Due to my husbands work schedule and my not wanting to get a babysitter, I schedule all my shows on the weekends. I usually do 3pm on saturdays and 1pm on sundays and I have very good turnouts. I even schedule 2 on sundays sometimes at around 6pm. People tend to want to be with their family in the evening whether it is during the week or the weekend. I am just speaking about where I live and my experience.

Weeknights, usually thus or fri work best. Weekends usually have lower attendance and more cancellations. I know if I were a guest, I would be more lilkely to go on a weeknight. I would LOVE to do daytime events,like a morning coffee or something. But, I have only gotten one person to schedule that. It was small, but fun.
