you have to have 31 posts for your signature to show up but I'm still not able to add an avatar. Does that take more than 31 posts for that to be added? And my signature is still not showing up....hmmm...

Yup, your sig is showing. Also, remember that profile pictures and avatar pictures are two different things. I see you've added a profile pic. You should be able to add an avatar now, so try uploading one again. :)

I have tried several different ways to add an avatar. One was browsing and choosing pics to upload, tried 2 different ones. Both were invalid files and the link said something like bad BMP image. What am I doin' wrong here?:confused:

You have an avatar showing next to your username on my end. It looks like a banner of some sort?
I would suggest using a .jpg or .gif format instead of bmp as well. I don't know if it'll make a difference, but that's what I use.

I am also having this problem. I finally hit 31, and I have tried logging out and back in and closing and reopening my browser several times, and I still can't change my avatar or signature.

Nevermind, it's working now. Sorry! I guess it just takes a little time for it to show up.

Yes, avatars require 30+ posts as well

It's good to know that you need 30+ posts to upload an avatar. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure that out.
