Do any of you have your own websites that you use to do readings through. Is it more profitable then using liveperson, etc...

I am curious as well....thanks!

I have kicked around this idea for awhile. I don't know what direction my site is going in at the moment though. lol.

I think if you did a lot of marketing and worked hard to get good traffic and a loyal following then you could do better than liveperson, ect....

I've been trying to get one up for some time. I made a free one on freewebs, but it sucks. LOL Mostly I go through word of mouth. But I also do the majority of my work at no charge. I have issues with charging people in need. But I don't do psychic readings... I do healings from the soul/energy level and assist in other areas as well. Hard to turn someone away who is being plagued by something or who is living a life of regret or who is in pain and say.. sorry, I need money to do this. My gift is an honor to carry into the world.. and I feel fulfilled when I am able to truly help another. There is no karmic tie created .. that's the blessing.

Generally speaking, if you can build traffic through search engines and market yourself well, yes you can make a better income than through LP, or K33n, both of which takea significant percentage of your earnings. it would be worth doing right in my opinion.

to all the advice... I do agree with the right marketing and approach you could avoid all the high percentage that Liveperson and others charge... I want to get with a least 3 or 4 more readers and make it an information/counseling site...and clients purchase from the readers directly through like paypal and give readings that way...if anyone is interested let me know (PM me)... I build websites so that part is not a problem...witht he right mix of people it maybe able to work....however, if you never try it you will never know... :)

It sounds like a great idea. As long as you are providing a quality service and a informative site, you could do quite well.

I've thought along those lines as well. Would LOVE to get a couple of people who sort of have the same idea. But I don't really want a 'reading' site where people are just interested in if their bf/gf loves them, or when they'll get married or meet their soul mate or yada yada.. I want to build with the intention of spiritual assistance. And would like people who have other means of income so that we can create a network of spiritual help during these times and the times that are coming to "help" people either in process of awakening, or to awaken. To help those with gifts they do not know what to do with, or who are afraid or have been taught it's wrong and so are choked up spiritually. As well as to step in and release people from the dark things that can attach. :) A teaching/learning site of spiritual assistance for the spirit.. not for profit. :)

No one will ever pay you or promote you like you, when you are self-employed, an entrepreneur, on your own.

We have all, or many of us, have experienced, working for telephone lines, who pay very little, and large corps. whose bottom line, is their bank account(s) and profits, not their employees, who are not even considered an employee, but someone working on a contract.

Yes, I have a website, a gift from a person, who won $75K, US, in a medical malpractice suit. The website was a thank you gift from her.

I began doing radio shows in 2004 and got my name out there.

I began with a very small website, with Yahoo

Little by little, i was contacted by the Media, for radio
interviews at New Year, Political predictions, and eventaully, large networks like CBS
and the CBC in Canada began to call.

I never advertized.

They came to me.

I figure it was meant to be.

It was no accident. I am just fulfilling my dharma.

Everyone knows karma, but dharma is the reason you are here.

It is no coincidence that people cry to psychics, readers, about all the
unwanted "drama" in their lives.

They must realize, they created it, and when they "hate" someone, or
something (ie, i HATE my job) they are feeding on negativity.

They are making the situation worse.

To paraphrase The Buddha, you are every thought you ever had.

A lot of people have cried to me, "I don't know HOW I got here to this point."

Oh, I think you do know in fact, I am sure of it.

You made choices.

LOL, yeah, but many do not remember especially if it's coming from something um.. a little out of reach. I don't do those types of readings. Actually, it's the people I have helped that want me to get a website and be more available. I think, if I was inundated with requests I'd have to give up my jobs and charge something and balance it with free work. Website I would like, again, would like 3 other people who's interest is to help mankind, charge for some things, but be reasonable or free for those in 'real' need of help.. not just does my bf love me type of things. Or.. when will I get a job type things.

My work centers on not when will you get a job, but why are you in this situation.. ie: the karma involved. What have you created for yourself here, and what can you do to surpass and move forward. My work isn't if you'll get a bf/gf or if they love you, but why do you have such a greedy need for it as to spend hours of your day focusing on that and nothing else? Asking psychic after psychic the same question over and over again.

I understand karma on a deeper level. The things we carry with us into the next life and then into the next. I work with release, and assisting people. I work with healing on many levels.. from physical to spiritual. And I work with opening people who are ready.. well, heh.. being ready is a requirement for all my work. A person cannot release if they are not ready..

But, most people are not interesting in that.. I mean, in finding their truer spiritual essence. They believe having a bf/gf or a job is what is wrong with their life. And having those things is what will make them happy. They don't understand that happiness is something from within, that regardless of what is happening in their world around them, they can still sit within on this little light of purity, of happiness.

Not saying, of course, that things don't occur in all our lives that brings sadness, but I'm talking about 'happiness'.. even when suffering, a being can be happy. One can suffer happily. :)

The reason I'd like a couple other people on the site with me is because no one knows everything, and no one has all the gifts/tools. I'm not psychic in the sense of seeing the future, nor can I 'teach' in the sense of a teacher. I"m also not a seer or medium in that sense. All these things I sometimes do, but it's not my forte'. So you see, a psychic, a teacher, a seer/medium and me.. spiritual healer, release, and opener. :)

ive had my own website since 2002, and its a working progress, if you spend the money advertising and getting people to go to your site , you can do as well as ANY public listing service. newspapers, search engines, radio and television ads are recommended. this can be expensive and time consuming, so do your homework,,, It generally takes 2-3 months after a search engine request for your site to start brining in customers, and its pretty much a full time job keeping up with meta tags, search engine results, and key word admittance to the sites. the puplic listing services are successful because they ADVERTISE
