I have recently ran across some charms and an idea for my disciples crosses. I know this isn't the crafter section, but it's the only place where I know my NASCAR MOMMA'S hang out! lol.


So here's my question. How much would you pay for this (or similar with a number change - I'm just partial to this number):

Other numbers are 20, 9, 3, 8 and other charms are an enamel car with the number or checkered flags and the color of the cross is coordinated with driver color (ex. 3=black, 8=red, 20=orange).


I sell JUST the cross for $10.00 (which is retail value). Would you pay $15?


Any feedback is appreciated. I'm expecting my charms any day.

I'm not a NASCAR fan, but I really like your idea!


I suggest you try to list a couple of them on Ebay~ The bidders will give you a general idea as to how much they were willing to pay for it.


I think it would be cool to offer a variety of charms to choose from - not only NASCAR, but other themes too!

I'm not slamming your idea, only giving my opinion, but I think a lot of deeply religious people would be offended by this, especially Catholics. Think of the crucifix...you have put the #24 where Jesus would usually hang. I'm not saying this to start a religious conversation, it's just my take on it.


The crosses by themselves are awesome, though!!!!!

I am a devout catholic...and not offended by the image. As a matter of fact, Nascar is a highly religous, faith led sport.

Hey, I too make Disciple's Crosses. I would not ever put anything about anyone on my necklaces. I would not wear a cross with anything about anyone on it. Don't take this the wrong way but that cross symbolizes the sacrifice Jesus made for me and I don't want any reminders of anyone else on it when I look at it. That is my feelings on what I wear though. Not necessarily what others are going to wear. I gave Ryan Newman a necklace for him and one for his wife and we are HUGE Newman fans but I would never put the #12 on my necklace.


Anyway, I'm not saying this to put you down or your idea and I pray you don't take it that way. I'm not Catholic, I'm just plain Christian so none of this comes from any Catholic beliefs. Just from my heart and my relationship with God. And like I said, that has everything to do with ME and not necessarily anyone else or if it would do good for you or not.

That's what I love about this board...having a place to come and bounce ideas off one another and ask for advice. Lot's of times someone will come up with a point that just never occurred to us, and do it in a way that is not offensive or rude. How refreshing...I have been a member of many other boards and the fact that we can act like mature professinal adults here and not have the bickering and backbiting is what keeps me coming back. Thank you.
