I have great ideas when I am not distracted by the TV or computer. Usually that's in the car or shower.

Where are you when your best ideas come to you?

In the early morning the quiet time when I am enjoying my cup of coffee. It seems to get the creative juices flowing.

I keep a notepad and tape recorder on my nightstand. I oftentimes wake up in the middle of the night with a solution or idea that I need to document for later. Sometimes it is just a dream that may lead to an idea for writing.

HI! I always have grest ideas in my dreams! A lot of them! The most difficult thing that I have to wake up and write them down in oder not to forget coause I do not remember them in the morning! I can even write a poem and learn it by heart still sleeping!

From others good ideas expanded into another idea!
From Reading and from facing challenges!

I always get great ideas while I am meditating! And if I go for the idea I always get success in that!

Many of my great ideas come from shopping, when I lookings for something new to do I often walk around Gift Shops, Home Decor and Hobby Shops. Since they have a variety of items using different techiques, themes, phrases, etc. I just walk around and look at combining ideas and see what pops into my head, then expand on it... how can I make it better!

Also, when I was in Architecture school (and gainfully employed in the Architecture field) I had a relatively long commute, I would use the drive time to think about where I wanted to take my next design turn and the best way to approach it!

Usually when I lie down to sleep. Lots of ideas start popping into my head. Its a good idea to keep a pen and pad by the bedside to jot the real good ones down!

Where are you when your best ideas come to you?

Usually in Russia. Occasionally in Latvia or Finland, but only very rarely in Bulgaria. Ok, so I travel, sometimes. "Best ideas" can come to me anywhere, really, but only if I maintain my regular pattern of prayer and meditation - without those, I have no ideas at all. Really.

When I am reading in bed at night or driving by myself. Sometimes when sitting at the computer and looking out at the view of the hills out our living room window, an idea will suddenly come.

Usually in the shower or car.

When I'm sleeping. I keep a mini-recorder by my bed so I can quickly record my thoughts without having to turn on the light.

I come up with thoughts everywhere. Tv on off, online, laying down. I'm always coming up with ideas.

I always get my best ideas when I'm about to fall asleep. I have a notebook, pen, booklight and lap on my side table for just such an occasion. :)
