Awesome news! Have you heard about the interview with Dr. Andrew Weil on Larry King Live? He talks about health care and wellness. He specifically recommended a couples of things to protect ourselves against swine flu as well as other illness. Astragalus (a root) and chinese mushrooms. We have Astragalus in our Figure 8 Chews and in our Teen Vitamin Chews we have the mushrooms AND astragalus! I am so excited that we have these ingredients in our vitamins, protecting us from the swine flu and more!!
He starts talking about swine flu 6 1/2 minutes in, but the whole interview is great to watch and get informed.

Very cool, thank you for the information! :) My grandmother has taught me a lot about herbal medicine and I totally believe that herbs hold great power to help alleviate illness and suffering. I just wanted to add that it is important to know for someone to only take Astragalus when he/she is healthy and well, to help boost the immune system and prevent colds and flu. If Astragalus is taken when a person is already sick, it can cause the cold virus or infection to be worse.
Also, always check with your doctor before starting any herbal remedy.

Dr Deanna did a write up on this too - there is so much we can do for prevention of the flu.
-Healthy gut = healthy immune system. Our fiber powder makes the good flora very happy-it's a must have. Our detox 7 day cleanse works on bringing the detoxing organs of our bodies into a healthy state.
- If you get the flu the fizzy energy tabs are a life saver! Helps you from feeling lethargic.
-If you are wanting to stock up on food in case of a full flu breakout (if it ever got to the point of avoiding going out in public) the protein shakes will provide awesome nutrition!! And I love that we have the larger containers now :)
- The vitamin packs are outstanding to just be on for overall health and vitality - something that allows your body to fight incoming viruses.
