Hi babs,

Have you looked at White Lily?

We offer all natural candles and body products in over 100 scents. We also can make sales pretty much however we want - whether it be online, in person, at parties, through fairs and shows, in retail stores or boutiques, or whatever (just not ebay).

I personally do most of my sales online, try to have a few catalog parties, and make one on one sales to friends and family.

Feel free to check out my site: www.WhiteLilyProducts.com (http://www.WhiteLilyProducts.com) and let me know if you have any questions :)

Good luck with your search!

Sincerely,
Rebecca

Rebecca -

This is probably a dumb question - but what exactly is a "catalog party"?

Thanks,

Sherri

Since this folder is actually designed for independent candle makers,
not those who represent various candle companies, I won't post
information about my company here. Eliz and babs, I will pm both
of you. :)

IF anyone doesn't mind I would really like a pm as well with this info. TIA

Hi Sherri,

A catalog party is when you have a hostess, but instead of doing an in-person party, the consultant supplies the hostess with a few catalogs, some order forms, and usually some samples. The hostess then collects orders herself from family, friends, and coworkers. I usually give about 2 weeks for catalog parties, and then the hostess submits the orders. The hostess still can qualify for all of the hostess benefits.

It works well when people all have busy schedules and can't make it to a regular in home party.

Hope that helps!

lovingyoualways and eliz, I have PM'd both of you. If this post is in the wrong folder, I would hope the mod would move it to the correct folder smileys/smiley1.gif- I get email notifications of posts in certain folders, so I don't always pay attention to what folder a topic is in smileys/smiley2.gif

Rebecca,

No worries about posting your info in the folder. I just didn't
want everyone to wonder what happened if this post suddenly
disappeared. When a topic is in the wrong folder, I think it's
safer to reply via pm in case the mod deletes the entire post. :)

Hi Babs! Apple Blossom Candles (http://www.appleblossomcandles.com/store/affiliate.asp?aff=10) (my affiliate link) has a free affiliate program that you could look into. I have personally tried quite a few products from them and the service has been fantastic so I decided to promote them on my gift website.

I like affiliate programs especially if I'm looking to only promote via the Internet and want to add other items as well so that is an option for you to look into.

Be sure to check out The Bittersweet Candle Company. We don't require home parties. I know that I personally do 99% of my business online. Check out the Bittersweet Candle Company Folder here at WAHM.
