Userlytics.com is recruiting testers to perform usability tests on websites, applications, and other online properties.

As a tester, you will be asked to work through our application, which incorporates facial recording, screen recording, click tracking, and both verbal and written commentary. You will also be asked to complete a series of survey and rating questions.

To become a tester, you will need a PC, webcam, and a microphone (built-in OK)

If you meet these requirements and would like to get started, go to website usability testing sign up (http://www.userlytics.com/?page=testersignup)

Once signed up, testers will be notified of new testing opportunities based on their demographic data and the needs of our clients.

We look forward to your feedback.

I don't have a web cam, but I may be willing to invest in one if this project is worth while.

Can anyone tell me a little about their experiences with the company, what you do for the testing and what the general pay rate is for them?

Thanks!

I tried to sign up but the form didn't seem to work.

Can anyone who's done this tell me how long the tests are and how much you get paid per test?

Thanks!

Hi, I signed up with them, tested a web site and was paid $12.00 with in 2 days. They ask that you "test" the site for at least 9 minutes. It was very easy. I followed their instructions on their website and downloaded the software, used my web cam and followed the "testing" instructions for the web site I was assigned to. It is first come first serve. I have missed a couple because by the time I saw the email and logged in the words "test full" showed up. Good luck.

How long have you been with them? I'm not really interested in buying a web cam unless there will be enough earning potential to make it worthwhile. I guess I should actually see how cheap web cams run to help me make a more informed decisison lol

I've only been with them for a couple of weeks and have done 1 "testing" . Missed a couple, I guess I need some kind of email alert. Anyway, my webcam was only $15.00 at my local Radio Shack. My understanding is the number of emails you receive to test depends on demographics; also it's first come, first serve; so if you miss an email someone else will take who's signed up in the same area as you will get it. I have received approximately 4 invitations to test in the short amount of time I've been signed up. It's easy and pay is quick. Good luck.

Why do you need a webcam? Are they looking at you review the website? So they can see into your home?

No they don't necessary want to look into your home...but like to see your reaction while you are doing your tasks on the website. I have done about 4 or 5 tests and have gotten paid on each. Sometimes there is trouble uploading my task to the site but I email them to let them know. Its very easy, fun and a way to get to look at sites you wouldn't normally go to. If you are uncomfortable using a webcam then this is not for you.

I'm really interested, too, but it won't accept my information. I get the same issue all of you get. Hopefully this issue gets fixed. Userlytics seems really cool.

This really looks like it may not be legit. I would be sure to check it out before giving them any personal information. Be sure not to send money also.
However, if they are doing usability testing, it could be a good thing. I know that some design companies do tests to help make their site more useful. Be sure to go in with your eyes open.

It is very much legit...like I said ive done testing and been paid about 4 times. I only had to give my name, email, and paypal address to get paid.

I've seen other people (on other sites where this is also posted) having issues with submitting their info in the last couple of days. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a dead deal.

Hello everyone,

I have done some tests for userlytics, back in september and I was only paid for one. I just tried to do one and it stated that it was submitted but did not give me credit for it. So I have been having issues with them. I dont know if it is worth my time.

Hello all,

We appreciate all of the feedback our testers have provided for all of the websites tested thus far. It has been an amazing experience reviewing your audiovisual recordings, contextual commentaries, ClickFlows, and survey results. Just to inform all current testers, for any tester related inquiries, please direct them to tester@userlytics.com where a member of our team will respond as soon as possible.

New testers are always welcome. Feel free to sign up at USERLYTICS (http://www.userlytics.com/?page=becometester) and you will be invited to test when clients request your demographic profile to test.

Kind regards,
Userlytics Team

I have completed a test and it says that I have earned $10 in my earnings, but it wasn't put into my PayPal account. How long does it take after your test has been approved for the payment to go into your account? Is there something that I have to do before I can be paid? Does it have to accumulate to a certain amount before I am paid?

It took them a couple days to review my test in order for me to get paid. I think they just want to make sure you are not just blabbing nonsense in the recording and are actually doing what you are told. As far as I know, no there is nothing you have to do in order to get paid besides provide them the proper paypal email account and complete a test successfully. Also, I have been paid by them twice so far and there was no min amount of money I needed to make before I was paid. They paid me the $10 every time I was done with a single test and it was reviewed =)

I need help please! I started this yesterday. I did one test and I went to login today and it says I need an updated version. So I needed to uninstall what I installed yesterday and than install the link they provided me in the message. I did all that, and it is still saying that I have the older version and need the current version. What do I do?

I would try rebooting the computer for the update to take. If that doesn't work try contacting the company with your error. I don't work for this company, I was just offering advise on how to get program to work.
