I like bittercreek board better than craftserver. On craftserver, there were to many cocky people on it.

Lorah - I have looked in many places but can't really find many candle forums. Most forums are hosted by candle supply companies and it's hard to talk openly about other suppliers. I know that the ppl at craftserver.com come off as a rough crowd but it's only because they are so passionate about candle making. They know the liabilites in making candles and just want people to know the facts before they start. I know it doesn't justify some of them but most of them mean well.

I use it mainly for searches if I have a question and IF I am going to post I make sure to "Word" my words correctly or I well either get ignored or an earful....depends on the day.

If you have any question post here or pm me and I will be glad to help. I honestly don't have the time or patients anymore to make them but I do love to burn them.

You are right, I've done searches on craftserver and just tried to find the info myself. I don't much care for being bashed or having to word things correctly so as to avoid it. There is alot of information there and I understand that they are passionate about candles. I think they need to remember that they were 'new' at one time too and probably had the same questions. Sometimes researching isn't enough and it helps to have experience talk to you.
Denise, I experienced that as well. That is why I don't post there. I seem to get ignored. LOL But I enjoy reading all the posts and learning. Between the two of them (craftserver and BC) I should be able to find what I need. And it is wonderful that I can come here and have my questions answered in a much more timely manner! Thanks to both of you!

I hear you on the whole CraftServer thing. I started making candles with a co-worker, not together but we ordered supplies and split the shipping. She was ripped on Craftsever bc she said the forbidden word on the forum...."I'm planning on selling candles". I took note and did not post for MONTHS until I figured out all the lingo and what nots. I NEVER mentioned I was planning on selling candles....EVER. I just said it was a "HOBBY" [wink]. They welcomed me and/or ignore me at times but I do understand what you are saying.

So is the candle making going? Are you having fun? Have you ordered any of Bert's FO? OMG...I love several of her's. FIG MELON it the best.

LOL, I so know what you mean about the whole 'selling' candles thing. LOL I'm having alot of fun making candles, yes. For the most part I have made melts only. Things are pretty tight around here. I lost my job in December of last year and it has just gone from bad to worse! I haven't been able to order any supplies, I've just been working with what I bought when I was working. Fig Melon sounds AWESOME! I can't wait to be able to get some more! I've made sugar cookie, lavender and vanilla. When I am pouring wax my house smells sooooooo good! LOL I appreciate your willingness to help me on my journey. I was initially looking for a company to sell for, but the start up is so high. I just can't swing it right now.

Please you can search relative forums on google or you can go to Alibaba to find some good candle suppliers.

Actually, you can list all details and requirements of you needed candles. Maybe you can find what you want soon. Thanks!
