I'm new and starting today! I noticed that there are so many shifts open. I'm scheduled tonight from 9-10:15. I may want to start earlier and quit earlier depending on when I get the kids down to bed. How do you cancel a shift? If it's going to be something negative that will reflect on me I will just leave it and work it.
Also, do you guys schedule shifts or do you just log in and work?

If you are scheduled for a shift you must email them if you plan to leave early.
I have little ones as well. I only schedule shifts when I know I can be there for the entire time period.
There are many times through the day I hop on and answer a few questions then hop off and I never schedule a shift for that. As long as everything is in the red you can hop on anytime to answer questions.

If you jump in just like that without scheduling, does it still count towards your 27 hours? More often than not I just jump right in and don't schedule....

I am not sure on that one. I have only been an agent for a week.
I will say though the minimum is now only 8 hours in a month. Might ask in the "newbies" chat section. I need to or email my team leader I just haven't sat down to do it since I know I have 8 hrs scheduled for the month so no biggie.

Any time you work counts towards your hours. And it's only 8 per month now. I'm one who hops on too.
