I start today so I'm totally new at this too! I'm a little nervous. I scheduled just a 90 min. shift today. And I will work a hour and 15 minutes when I put the kids to bed. Good Luck!

A shadowing shift is exactly the same as a normal shift. You will choose questions to take (from the right side of the screen) and answer them. It will take you a bit to figure out where everything is.

There is a chat function in the bottom right part of the screen where you can ask questions.

You'll figure it out, you just have to poke around and find things. Don't stress though, they don't expect you to be perfect your first time around.

i got about 75% of my questions with the "the reviewer says this question is fine". i figured that was allright.

but i did another shift tonight and to say the least i....BOMBED it. i was about ready to type "HOW THE **** AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT????" (no joke).

it was really frustrating, and in the end i concluded that the most frustrating thing about it is how they require a source, and even better it can't be any of the most useful websites like wikipedia, wikianswer, or yahooanswers. for example, i asked my brother in the room "hey who has the most runs for the yankees" (something like that). he gave me the answer, and then i searched...searched...and kept searching to find NO page but wikipedia and wikianswers to help me. will i probably get fired with the next batch of reviews?

Here's the deal with with wiki and yahoo answers as sources: There is a lot of mistakes on these sites because anyone with a computer and a little bit of information to edit them (wiki) or make up stuff to put in there. More often than not, on the wiki page at the very bottom there will be a credible and reliable source. I

yeah, i figure that makes sense. but sometimes it drives me crazy finding an answer which i'm confident is true but having to spend triple the time finding a "reliable source".

also quick question: when i am crediting a website do i write:

Vaccine Fights Melanoma (http://www.webmd.com/melanoma-skin-cancer/news/20090601/vaccine-fights-melanoma)

or

webmd.com ?

I didn't know if i had to go into "url details" or not.

By the way, I did much better today and now understand how to use kgb much better. :)

You have to source the full url where the information was found, like the first example you used. If you just put web.md and not put the page of actual information, you will likely be docked for it in your reviews.

Also make sure if it is something from WebMD like medical advice you need to start your reply to the customer Not Medical Advice: then the info.
