When you are prospecting and a person wants numbers...they ask, "What volume do I have to generate to make an extra $400 a month if I sign up as a consultant?" How is the best way to answer that question?

Well, just at retail selling, if you sell $1000, you get $350 'profit'

now how much you have to spend on supplies, samples, etc. is off the top of that. But doing 2 parties a month at $500 a party isn't difficult. especially with outside orders, etc. Or by doing a few casual one on ones a week, getting at least one person a week to spend $250 (to get the $100 for $20 bonus, it makes the most sense for them) then you would have $1000 in sales a month as well.

I would say expenses might be close to $50 a month so that kind of activity would generate $300 a month. just extrapolate the math out from there to get more profits.

Of course, that is straight retail, not offereing anyone the wholesale option. That cuts the profits tremendously and depends on if you are doing the right now money, or investing to build to district manager etc. I have a long string of wholesale buyers and a few sporadic business builders and get checks for anywhere from $100 to $300 overrides on top of whatever retail I personally do. It makes a huge difference if you can get to district!

Well for residual income you would need to be a DM & have 7800 in volume.

However, I think you should maybe ask them a question. Like maybe find out why they are asking. Or something like Hmmm, you know that is a really interesting question. I don't know the answer to it right now but can find out for you. Then show them the average incomes for our levels or something. Or then ask them then...you know that is a really interesting question, I have never really thought of it like that, what made you ask it?
