I am really interested in doing an Employee Appreciation and also Teacher Appreciation to help build my client base, and maybe even to gain some recruits. How do I go about doing this?
1) Who, at the esablishment, would I ask if I could do this?
2) Do I have people sign up and limit it to only a certain amount of people- maybe do it a few days in a row so everyone would have the opportunity?
3) Would I still do a Hostess gift?
4) How could I do the SOH if there isn't a sink nearby?
5) I only have 1 neckwrap, so would I still use this? If so how do I decide who will use it? Or should I just pass it around so they can see, smell and feel it and explain that it is an exclusive hostess gift?
Any tips you could give would be great! I'm eager to get started making phone calls!
Thanks!

Hi Mistie,
I haven't done one, but Donna Goins did one for a school. I remember her saying she talked to the principle of the school and she did mini spas, like 30 minutes with 8 teachers each time. She was there I believe the whole day. The teachers signed up if they were interested. I am not one hundred percent how she did it. Some school break rooms have sinks. I believe she did it there for the show of hands. She played the spa cd, did the lip therapy and the eye pads and let them sample some of the other products, but I am not sure which. She had a few spas come out of it and I think a couple of recruits. Each school didstrict is different and I believe she first went through the county of the schools to offer it, and they told her she would have to go through each school independently. So first, I would call the county. You might want to try to do it on a teacher workday or something along that line.
As far as a business goes, you go through the manager and she/he will tell you what they company allows. All businesses would be different, but I know it can be done, cause I remember someone got to do a whole cooperate office one, and she did it all week because of the amount of employees.
Those were brought up at BeautiU. Good luck.

Okay, I would only show them the neckwrap and say if you book a spa escape through me, you get this. I wouldn't do a hostess gift for a school, but a drawing for all who participate(everyone wins a spa escape, but they don't need to know that) and also do a prize giveaway, only do what you can afford. This way you also, have names and numbers of the ones who went, and you could call back and do a phone survey type thing, asking them what they thought, etc. When you do that you try and book a spa or talk about the business but do not over burden them. Hope that helped some.

Mistie,
The last school Teacher Appreciation I did, I got 19 teachers who wanted to book. About 5 actually did.
I called the Principal to schedule for the first 2 and then I also found out who was in charge of Teacher Appreciation on the PTO board.
The PTO at the last school, came in and helped me. We had a room, where we putblack paper to block out the light, lit candles, set out snacks, and bottled water( from the PTO) and played Spa music. We had the teachers sign up for a 20 minute session during their planning period.
When they came in the room, we scheduled 5 at a time. They recieved a neckwrap, and we did the instant manicure there, with a pitcher and a bucket. I poured the water over thier hands into the bucket. We also had a fan, becuase it got warm with the candles.
After the IM, they were able to try the different lotions and I rubbed thier backs with a back rubber. They all had a blast, and kept saying they did not feel like they were at school, but at a real Spa.
The hostess gift. I did not make a neck wrap, but a pedicure set and we did a drawing for it at the end of the day.
The school has me booked for May- BEcuase that is when Teacher Appreciation Week is set for on a Natinal level I believe.
I had 10 minutes between sessions and that is when I heated the neckwraps, dumped the bucket and filled the pitcher. I did this for 2 days, and gained4 great clients, 2 possible recruits and 5 Spas held.
In May, I am making up Gift Sets toset aside that range from $25-$40 for them to purchase if they want. Because I could of sold a bunch of stuff if it has been out and convienant. It was payday.
You will be tired at the end of the day, but most likely will grow your business and the teachers will love you for pampering them.
I would recommend that you say" I am offering priority booking today if you book a Spa and do some special for them at thier Spa if it is scheduled that day. I think that will get you more commitments.
Good luck,
