Has anyone tried being a rebate processor? I'm not really interested in paying a $50 registration fee to do this but this is the type of thing that interests me. If you've tried it are you as successful as they say you can be?

Could you elaborate on what the job entails and where you are seeing the job posted?

Hi. Please be careful with this type of thing. Rebate processors are usually scams. Legitimate leads or jobs should not cost anything to apply for. That is another red flag. You can do a google or BBB search on the company and see what comes up that will tend to support the fact that this can be a scam.

I agree... they are usually scams... I fell for it twice :(
they basically just try to get you to sign more people up, and you never do any processing.

Or if you do any 'processing' it involves you depositing money from stolen/invalid/fraudulent checks or money orders and sending them money that'll be free and clear for them but you're on the hook for fraud.

These are scams as the above posted describes. They send you checks and tell you you can keep a percentage of them. These "positions" also ask that you deposit the checks into your personal account, write checks against them. By the time you find out their checks are worthless, your money is gone.
