I was wondering if anyone knew if $.06 per character line is good pay for transcription? Are there transcription companies that pay better than that? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on how many characters per line and if spaces are included.
Some newbie medical transcriptionists start off at 6 cents per 65-character line, usually including spaces.
