OK, so I chose to go with StartLogic and have a temporary URL, but things are not all working. My links program is not working, my admin panel for oscommerce won't come up. This is very frustrating. Any suggestions on a smooth transition to a new host? My links program is a seperate script, do I have to reinstall it? Won't I lose all of my links??

Has the configure.php file in osCommerce been updated to the new server/db information (admin/includes/configure.php)? Does your admin folder have the correct permissions (755)?

You hit the nail on the head with the admin panel. The config file was not correct. smileys/smiley32.gif


But I still can't figure out why my links script won't run...it's written in php and should work fine. Is anyone familiar with WSN Links??

This is the error I'm getting on my temporary URL for the links page:


Fatal error: Call to undefined function: catselector() in /home/craftygi/public_html/links/templatefunctions.php on line 169



I have not changed the DNS yet so you can only access the site throughthe temporary URL. I need to make sure absolutely everything is working correctly before I change the DNS to the new server. Can anyone help me with this? I have posted at the WSN Links forum but haven't received any help yet.

Just wanted to say thanks for the offer but we got it going. Still having trouble with the admin panel (can't access it) and some other stuff, like why isn't the lock box showing up (guess I need the SSL cert installed before this will show, right??).

Yep. I got my site all changed over. It is secure and I now can securely accept credit cards. Yeah for me!!
