I was wondering can you work for more than one insurance company? I didn't know if is ok. I have an interview next week with Banker's Life & Casualty but I wanted to see if I am limited to just working for them.

Rachadelle all you would have to do is ask them if you would be a captive or an independent agent.
If you are captive you would only be able to offer whatever products they give you. If you are independent you would be able to market with many different carriers. As far as working with different companies, it all depends on your contract. Do you currently have a Life/health License?

I haven't heard of any companies allowing you to work at a competing company but I guess you never know. Is your interview for an agent position or more like a CSR or sales associate? If it is an agent, see what kind of book of business they are going to start you out with. Mabye you could use that as a bargaining chip between companies. Good luck at the interview!

Hi! Normaly the owners of the insurance companies do not want their workers to combine the time it just a matter of rivals concurrence but if they have nothing agains so you can do it.
