Understand so many people are thinking of getting some extra income from selling online during the current economy slum. Or desperately need a new income after losing your jobs.

For those who've always been thinking about starting up an online business, but just don't know where you can find sellable items, I'd like to share something from my real experience.

I've been selling in eBay for years and now it's contributing 90% of my income. Below is the current screenshot of the sales summary for one of my eBay A/Cs:

I can see 2 main successful factors: Competitive price or Unique items.

To be honest, I can never compete with those big wholesalers and importers in price. But I can survive by selling unique things.

For people who'd like to learn from my real experience, I'm more than happy to share. I've been following a very strategic ebook when setting up my eBay sales step by step. It also provides a good product source with a lot of items that you can customize with your own creativity. That's why I can keep my items unique and don't have to compete with other sellers in price.

Just to let everyone know...I read the info sent and this person Louispn does not even reveal the ebay ID in the info sent. Instead what appears in the pdf report is:

"Take a look at my eBay ID (as I have a number of different eBay IDs for different types of products, I don't know from where you get this book. Just check out your transaction record) and see what we're doing now.

Maybe at some point the OP was selling this report on Ebay and therefore a reader would have a "transaction record" that would point to an Ebay ID but for those of us here on WAHM.com forum requesting the info...we have no idea who we are dealing with and no proof of what is or is not being sold on Ebay. The OP states that he is a powerseller but there is no proof of that.

"The website "giftamax" is exactly like "zippypress.com" in many ways (products, trial period, monthly fee is the same), and zippypress.com is also located in Hong Kong. Zippypress.com is a company that I have used as a dropshipper for my ebay store for the years 2007 and 2008. I do not have an ebay store at present but when I did it was under the Ebay ID: "Joyfulwraps". The items sold well and doing the graphics was fun. I sold watches and clothing items.

On the Giftamax site, the products, the monthy fee, the trial period - everything is EXACTLY like zippypress.com....odd huh?

If you go through this thread you will notice that the OP - Louispn never gives answers to questions asked but instead posts "canned replies" which are the same over and over.

I am wondering if the OPs site is a copycat site to zippypress?

I did a little research.....I went to my dropshipper's site: zippypress.com and located the contact info:

RM 1110, New City Center.
2 Lei Yue Mun Road
Kwun Tong
Hong Kong

Then I went to the giftamax site and searched for the contact info and found this:

Hmmmm???

Maybe there is nothing at all wrong here and the two sites have the same supplier?

Looking at the "about us" for zippypress: About Us - Create and sell our great products on eBay. (http://www.zippypress.com/about.aspx)

and giftamax Giftamax - About Us - Ebay Drop Shipping, Free Online Business, Wholesale Products, Ebay Sellers (http://www.giftamax.com/aboutus.html)

You will notice similarities such as years, the "angel fund" and number of staff.

I'm here to share a very good strategic book from which I've learned a lot of invaluable info (where to find good products, how to evaluate the profitability, how do you know what designs can sell, etc). But is it true or not? You have to judge by yourself. Somtimes you may get something free. But you'll never succeed if you don't pay some real effort at the end.

I'm not here to advertize my own eBay store. Again, whether or not I'm a Powerseller is not important. If the info shared here can help you, then go ahead to explore further. If it's just some craps, even if I'm a Powerseller, that means nothing to you, right?

Anyway, I've shown a screenshot of my eBay Selling Summary at the very beginning of this thread and every one can see what kind of sales I'm making right now. However, again, it means nothing to you if it's not you doing the sales and making profit on your own.

Well, it's just a sharing. It could be helpful to you, or it could be a waste of time to you. All depends on your attitude. Good luck.

Please, Please, Please, Please, be very careful about useing E-bay. I worked as an Auction Listing Agent listing things on E-bay. Well needless to say I paid the company $60.00 to download their product on my copmuter, but when I did that THEY TOLD ME IN PLAIN ENGLISH THAT I WOULDN'T PAY ANY MORE FEE'S TO THEM OR TO LIST THESE ITEM'S. THEY LIED. I owe E-Bay $400.00 because E-Bay charges for each item you post even if it doesn't sell..I had no idea about the fee's because I was new at all of this so be very careful about what you do online I have been scamed so many times, with promises that I can make money from home.

P.S You can make money as a Auction Listing Agent, but make sure you only list one item at a time or how many you can afford to post so if it doesn't sell then you won't have all the money to have to pay to E-Bay and no money to pay them with...

I was scared of not knowing what to do,but once there it is easy and a process that anyone can learn to do.I have been selling on eBay for about 4 months now and have made about 4000.00 dollars that does not include the deductions for insertion fees and the 9% eBay takes for selling also the buyer pays for shipping ,that is deducted from your PayPal account. They cap the 9% at $50.00 so if you sell something for $8000.00 they still only take $50.00 .I also sell for other people and family members .Some of the things we have sold for others is for medal detecting, coin collections,racing collectibles ,gold ,silver, copper, tools,(matco,snap on and mac tools sell well) you can even sell sex paraphernalia it is listed under other and cook books.There is also eBay Motors if you want to sell tools or a car or a camper the skies the limit as long as you give good descriptions and are honest about what you are selling ,I guess what I am saying detailed information is best even for the smallest detail buyers like to know that when they get there item it is exactly as described and they will give you good feedback.Now if a problem does arises and a buyer has a problem then you have to take care of it promptly and answer them within a quick time frame.I have had very few problems but when I have I always leave the decision up to the buyer ,for example we had sold a sewing machine and we packed it what we thought was appropriately and when it arrived the buyer sent me a message item not as described,so I asked him to send me pictures of the damage and he did (what had happened somewhere between the buyer and mail delivery it was dropped and the case was cracked and broken) and it showed damage to the machine and case,I asked him what he would like me to do to help resolve this situation .He simply asked for $10.00 back to help defer the cost of trying to have it fixed. Another example was we sent a tool to someone in Nevada and when it arrived there was a hole in the envelope and the tool was missing.I felt at that time it was simply Mail carrier error and told the buyer I would not be able to give him his money back,he was very upset and gave me negative feedback ,so I further looked into this issue and found that the package had sustained damage in his cities hub, I took a few days to think about the whole situation and sent an e-mail to this buyer and simply stated that since he nor I were at fault I would refund his money from the item if he would be so kind as to change my feedback score to a positive one ,again I left the decision up to the buyer ,and he was happy with this decision he got his money and I got a positive feedback score.we were both satisfied. There are a lot of things to learn but just take it one step at a time and in no time at all you will be selling and making extra money on eBay. OH AND BY THE WAY I SELL VINTAGE ITEMS MADE IN AMERICA THAT IS MY NICHE.THANKS HAPPY eBaying,hope this helps out some.
