I just want to warn any cold callers or transcriptionist out there beware of a man who owns a Medical software consulting company. He is representing at least one medical technology company. He owes me a few hundred and said he mailed it last Wednesday, I've yet to see it and he isn't responding to emails. I was hired to call physician's offices but he started acting real strange (just at the time it was time to get paid) My husband told me he was trying to get me to quit. There is a lot more to the story. My hubby had him figured out before I did. He thinks the guy is running a scam getting people to prospect for him and then not paying them. I'm not sure. I'm half tempted to contact MTscribe regarding the pay he owes me. Do they want sales people like him? Maybe they don't care...but maybe they do ;) I will wait another day before I decide what to do with this. I put my time in and worked hard. He doesn't know it but I also have a few solid leads for him. I should contact them if this doesn't pan out. Ok I'm done ranting. Just a warning if you are thinking of working for him you may not get paid. I will keep you updated if I get paid... I don't think the post office is that slow though ;)

If you feel that you have not been treated fairly, I would definitely advise you to continue contacting him. If you are still unable to in contact with him, you should take the next level in contacting the company in whom he represents.

That is exactly what I intend on doing. I have all the timesheets and invoices and the email from him stating he sent my pay last week. Who knows maybe the mail is that slow lol

I'm so sorry that this individual seems to have taken advantage of your trust and hard work. Could you report him to the BBB or even consider taking him to small claims court if the payment doesn't come your way? It seems that teaching these scammers a lesson that affects their bottom line might cause them to think twice before they go on scamming others.

I hope that he comes through, however, so you can get paid for your diligence and hard work.

Thanks Annie :) I don't know that BBB would work in this situation and I would love to take him to small claims court but he is in PA and that is a longggggggg way away. I hope I will be able to come back on here and report that he has paid me. If not I did tell him I will be letting everyone I can reach know how he works. He has not responded to any of my emails. We shall see

Well I got a not so nice email from the man. I took his name out of here just in case :) But honestly I will post the name of his company (which he is a one man gig) if I don't get the check soon. I think I've given enough information to warn others. I have read up on libel and slander and don't believe I would have a problem just stating the truth. I have not gotten paid as of yet. It doesn't take 8 days to get a check in the mail. If I don't get the money owed to me I will contact the company he is contracted with so they know what sort of person they are dealing with. This has been an eye opening experience. I've been lucky with my remote jobs this is the first that hasn't paid me. I did work for a company a few years ago whose checks bounced a few times, BUT they honored what they owed me and paid the extra charges for their bounced checks. I quit before it could become a situation like this one is.

Well let me just say sending emails and letting the person you contract with know you aren't just going to roll on your back just may work. After sending him an email stating he wouldn't get the leads until I got the paycheck must have done the trick. The check that is dated the 4th (the day he also said he mailed it out) was post marked the 11th. It only took 2 days to get here from PA. I worked 2 other days I didn't get paid for but I'm letting that go. Now I will put this in the bank and make sure it clears.
