UGH I'm so nervous - the first flea market. I'm nervous because they can be so wishy washy - some weekends a blast, others a bust. You can never tell. One thing I DO know is, the "rent" is cheaper than a store front anyday, and I know I'm at least getting the NAME out there!

I will try to get some pics with my cell phone (not the best I know LOL!) but maybe I will take my video camera along to take some "stills" with it. I'm sure I will be able to have one of the candles burning (those vendors with the incense burn it all over LOL!)

I think it went VERY well! I sold a few jars (not a whole lot), a few votives, some people looked at the candles and I let them know I take orders as well if they don't see what they like and can also also accept PayPal on the internet as a form of payment. Several took a brochure after saying that. One lady came to my table thrilled! Her husband buys her Mia Bella Candles for special occasions and she knows he gets them off the internet - but doesn't know from who. She wants to give him my information (I didn't mean to steal anyone's business!) smileys/smiley5.gifShe went on and on about how fabulous they were. One guy walked by with his whole family - he stopped just past my table, ran back and took a brochure smileys/smiley36.gif, and another guy checked out my candles earlier throughly and I talked with him about them. He didn't buy any, but as he and his wife were on their way out - he stopped back over to get a business card and brochure. smileys/smiley36.gif


So many people are looking for the cheap deals though, but those that know a good thing knew what they wanted and bought. All in all, I'd say today was a success!

I think I will be doing this every weekend possible! The thing about flea markets is, you will have your "regulars" - however - think about how often do YOU go to the flea market? The entire city here has people that may only come once a month - or even less. Thisflea marketis VERY busy too!


Mental notes for tomorrow:

<LI>Take a chair (yes I am a moron and forgot - but it got me standing up there with my product but BOY do my feet and back HURT! LOL!)</LI>
<LI>Take a tarp to drape along the back between the posts to help divert the wind - and rain (if it rains)</LI>
<LI>Take MY OWN COFFEE - OMGOSH the coffee was HORRIBLE!!</LI>
