I heard that they've made some changes to bc's career plan, but can't find it anywhere on the website, anyone know anything about that? I heard that you now have an option of red mustang or another vehicle or cash, I also heard that you can earn your mustang in 3 months instead of 6.

You now only have to have 3 consultants to be VIP, but haven't heard if there will be changes to the other levels. I'm hoping so because I get so close to unit manager and then 1 or 2 will drop off. I also heard some talk of commissions going up. Anyone else hear this stuff or know something?
Thanks,
Tennille

The mustang program is going away after the end of the year (as in you can still start it by putting in your letter by Nov. 20th) and that info and the car program info are on Beautinet right now under Post Celebration FAQs or something of that sort. They are adding a mustang as one of the lease options, but they've always had a lease or cash option. I think the 3 month thing is someone misunderstanding that you only have 3 more months to get in for the mustang program, not that it will take less time.

I don't know if there are any changes to the number of consultants you need for other levels, but yes the commissions and some things like that are going to change a bit. I haven't been told exactly what these changes will be, but she said she's excited because we'll be rewarded better for building up our teams.

I really hope they do look at a few things. One that has really affected me is when I sign up someone and they sign up someone, then my "someone" goes inactive, I lose the other "someone" from my team. Its hard because I have been working with their "someone" because they are very motivated and want to do BC. I actually even paid to keep my someone on one time so I didn't lose the other person. Of course that meant that I only got a 25% discount and had to pay shipping etc. I can only do that so many times. I lose that link and it goes to my Director. Oh well, these are the things that I hope they reevaluate! Maybe they will now with all the changes that are happening!!

I'm curious where did you hear this?

The mustang program change is listed in the Post Celebration FAQ page on Beautinet. You can still get one as a lease but not a freebie anymore. Looked like more and more folks were starting to take the cash prize instead, maybe that's why they discontinued?

Gotta say, totally disappointed myself but since I'm years away, maybe they'll have time to change their mind before it's my turn.

Good news is, if for some reason my circumstances change, I could sign my DIQ by December of 2009 and still qualify to be eligible...

Albert did say at Leadership that they would be looking closely at the compensation plan and possibly making changes. I guess this is the beginning...

Thanks! I'll have to look it up!

Yep, the Post Celebration FAQ's like I mentioned. The other vague info I heard from the local director in my area, and we hear a lot from Evelyn Coleman, who is my director (and the director above her too.)

I'm not following you, if one of my recruits goes inactive, where do theygo? I assumed they would go to me?

This was a major flaw I saw in the BC compensation plan that when you are in DIQ and you recruit consultant A and then she recruits consultant B, you lose consultant B if consultant A goes inactive. I beleive Consultant B then rolls up to your director. Your recruit's recruits don't count for your totals anyway unless you are in DIQ or you are a director but it sure makes it hard on the DIQ if she is constantly losing people because their recruiter went inactive.

That is exactly what happens. It is really only relevant to you if you are in DIQ, but I really don't understand why they can't leave that person in your team because they are not paying you anything anyway (unless you are in DIQ) Especially hard because I continue to work with that person but technically they aren't mine anymore but my Directors!

The comp plan was the main reason I left Beauticontrol, so this topic is near and dear to my heart. I'm glad they're looking at changing things. As I see it, right now only a very few people are making any money, primarily Beauticontrol. And they LOVE DIQ's because going through that program drives this business. People "invest" in their business (stockpile with the hope of someday selling it.) That's how most directors make their numbers, by having a DIQ or 2 working to make director. But honestly, I don't think they really want them to make it, because then the parent director's check goes way down and they have to start building all over again. It's an inherent flaw in the system. Basically, you're competing with your downline and that just sucks.

For those of you in DIQ, I can't stress this enough. Don't buy your way through DIQ, because you'll set yourself up for doing that every month as a Director. It's a common misconception that DIQ is only a 6-month period that you get through and things are all rosy. DIQ is exactly what it's like to be a director, except easier. What you do to get to director is what you'll continue to do to stay there.

Another flaw in the comp plan is that you need to decide who to recruit and who to sell to. In network marketing, it's all the same thing. You recruit everybody and don't need to make this decision. Your team sales and customer sales are all rolled into 1. As a director, it can be really tough to recruit 3 PLUS sell $1650, PLUS have team sales of $10,000 every month. My observations is that most directors end up "investing" in 1 of these areas each month, which ends up eating up their commission check and filling up their basement. These are things nobody wants to talk about, but it's happening everywhere. The "Top Sellers" are really the "Top Buyers". Nobody knows if they're really selling anything. Our top recruiting director told me that she never sells anything, just recruits everybody. So that $1650 she buys every month, she just gives away at her team rallies. It's a crazy system and definitely needs to change. I'll be interested to see what they come up with.

This is really sad to read. I'm so thankful that my upline does not run their business this way nor do they teach those of us climbing up this way.

Sad but unfortunately I think true (if my basesment with all its inventory was any sign). I think concentrate on selling, don't buy until you get orders! Nothing worse then using your commission check to pay for your inventory.
