Hey guys! I am new here. I just started a job that will allow me to telecommute (after training) so I am looking to commute in the work from home community!!! I also wanted to let you guys know that my company is still hiring! Training is IN OFFICE, so to qualify, you MUST live within 2 hours of one of these locations:

Lawton, OK
Abilene, TX
Terre Haute, IN
Wichita Falls, TX
Albany, GA
Tyler, TX
Bowling Green, KY
Jacksonville, NC
Carbondale, IL
Texarkana, TX
Jonesboro, AR
Watertown NY

Ummm... what did I forget? It's a customer service position but the company does a LOT of promoting from within, and they have even management level employees that work from home, so there IS room to grow. You can actually make this a career, which is really exciting for me!

Anyway, if you are interested in finding out more, let me know I will be happy to give you all the info I can!

This is a great company with lots of benefits!! I also work for this company, you do have set hours but they are very flexible. The best part about this company is that once you go to training and start working from home you can take this job with you no matter where you live in the United States.

I live 2 hours and 16 minutes from one of these. I'm willing to drive an extra 16 minutes to get there. Would they automatically disqualify me from applying since I'm outside the 2 hour range?

For those who asked, training is 4-6 weeks. About 3/4 into the training you will need to return home to successfully install/test the CSR software you will be using.

This is a great company. I believe they have virtual open houses a couple of times a month so people can learn about the requirements for the position and ask questions.

They emphasized the portability of the position and advancement opportunities during the open house.

If I was near one of the training locations I'd go for it, no matter what they paid to start.

EDIT: I should probably mention that if there are any bad things to say about this company they are so few and far between I can't recall ever reading one.

That is rare indeed in the WAH field.

*snip*

Do they provide a place to stay while you're training or do you have to pay for that yourself? Or do you still stay at home and just drive there everyday? I'm confused, lol.

They do not provide a place to stay. If you live within the 2 hour area then you would have to either drive to and from training every day or pay for your own hotel if you didn't want to travel.

One thing I should mention is that you do get paid for training but training requires 100% attendance absolutely NO exceptions. Once you make thru training then you have lots of flexibility.

Okay, I was confused because I saw "About 3/4 into the training you will need to return home to successfully install/test the CSR software you will be using."

I took this to mean that you wouldn't go home until 3/4 through the training.
