Hi, i just wanted to give me two cents about becoming an insurance agent during an economic crisis. For some reason alot of people put off taking the agent exam because they don't think the economy is "good enough" to become an agent. But if you think about it, now is the perfect time to do so. Yes, homes aren't selling as much as they use to but people are still buying. And not only homes, people are still purchasing cars, healthcare , and every other thing that agents deal with.
The cost for the exam is not that much and if you're on the fence about becoming an agent, i recommend doing some research online about how successful agents find a way to "make it happen" during a recession. Also, we will be out the recession before you know it and agents will be in high demand at that time. Now is the time to learn about everything you need to know as far as what companies to work for and how much you get paid per lead.
So again, dont put off becoming an agent, just make sure that you dont put all your eggs in one basket by quitting your job first or something like that. Agents get paid a good salary but it is commissioned base (mostly) and ya'll know how that can be. So if possible, try to find a way to just be an agent part time like only on the weekends to see how it goes before dedicating 40 hours a week to it.
Bravo

People can start out on a part-time basis. I will say this it's not easy because it's sales. That's why the potential income is limitless.

The good thing about sales is that its the only industry where jobs are safe during bad times. Companies will always need good salespeople. Without sales=nothing happens.
So yes its good to become an agent during a recession!
