I might be moving to Southern Cal because of husband's job. I am happy for my husband but I worry about my BC business. This is only my second month with BC and I haven't had a spa yet since people I know are not interested in having one. My team in NJ is very supportive but I am afraid of leaving them since I still have a lot to learn from. It seems that the market in California is a lot more saturated than that of NJ. On the other hand, I hope it will be easier for me to get a spa since people on the west are more in tuned with fashion and beauty.

Any advice for me?

I would get out and start meeting the neighbors as soon as possible when you get there. Also, check into the local chamber of commerce and other networking events, attend mixers, etc. Networking is a great way to get your face and name out there. That's mostly what Ido.
You can still do all the same things there as you could in NJ. Go to schools when schools begin, other businesses to do office spas.
Just likeyou could do in NJ, make up some small sample packets, hand them out whenever you go, get a name and number and follow up.
Start building your database and working it. It may take a while but doesn't everything???
Ask people where ever you go, if they have a skin care consultant or someone they could call whenever they needed skin care questions answered...if they don't then ask it you could be theirs. And tell them that you havean informative monthly e-newsletter -- ask them if you can add them to it.

I hope this helps. Best of luck with your move. That's a long haul! Also, remember to connect back on here.

Michelle Jones is a Lexus earner in So. Cal. She is in Camarillo, CA.

I am in Des Moines IA but I am a "fan" of her and her team on Facebook.

She has TONS of awesome ideas and a great unit. Per Facebook the phone number to reach her is 805-504-3607. This is public on Facebook so I'm not posting anything that is top secret.

Based on what I've seen, heard and read she's a wonderful leader and would move mountains to help anyone succeed with BC.

Here is a link to her facebook page:

Chris Stuchlak is the West Coast Regional VP, and he is AWESOME. He's actually moving to CA from Dallas right now. He sends out e-mails frequently, and he's come to visit us up here in WA twice since this past fall already. So when you move to CA (and change your address on beautinet) you'll instantly be part of his team. His e-mail is Chris.Stuchlak@beauticontrol.com, though right now he's without computer as he's moving. I video taped the last time he was here in Feb, I need to figure out how to get that online.</span>

Thank you all VERY MUCH for the great support.

I do have a question about "team". When I move, am I still part of my old team or I will be assigned to a local team? Meeting consultants at the new place will definitely make me feel a lot better!

Jean I can't beleive you are moving and we didn't even get to meet face to face yet!! The beauty of BeautiControl is that you can work the business from anywhere and I beleive any director would welcome you to his o her meetings. Good luck to you. Keep me posted on how your doing.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

You will still be part of the same team, recruits are always paired up with their recruiters for as long as either are in the company, and if the recruiter ends up leaving, you just default to being under their director. You will just attend whatever meetings are closest to you (or from the director you gravitate toward the most.)

And the Regional Teams are a whole different thing, but I mentioned it because Chris is so darn awesome and motivating that it's worth getting a hold of him. Sorry if that was a little confusing!

Chris isn't my regional, but my fiance and I got to talk to him at Leadership and he really is awesome! You will love him! He was also at our Family Meeting, and he was pretty motivating.

Hi there,
Just wanted to let you know that it totally DEPENDS on what part of southern Cal you're moving to. My sister sells BC in the Inland Empire and very very few people have ever heard of BC. California is big ;-) and even though I live in what I thought was a relatively saturated area, I can go weeks without running into another BC user.

Best of luck!!
Amelia
