Hello, My name is Kari Weddle. I am recently married and now have a
beautiful two year old step daughter. My husband is in the military and
works long hours most days. We really need more money so I have been looking for a job and really trying to get something from home so we don't mess with daycares or babysitters. We really want me to be able to stay at home to start building our family and be with our kids but I have no idea where to look or even how to get started working from home. I have sort of looked into transcription but haven't found much. How do I find what is right now me and my family and how do I get started with it. I"m afraid its going to cost more money to work from home than we have available so i will be forced to find a job elsewhere. Please help lead me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Kari

Welcome Kari. There is a transcription folder here on the forum. You also might want to try keyforcash. I think another site is called ticketpuller.

Hi Kari and welcome,
Do not pay for any work from home job listings. Legitimate companies that hire telecommuters, do not charge any fees.
This is a great place to find real helpful resources and authentic listings. There are work at home jobs in the Call Center category (that involve receiving inbound calls with no selling required), tutor jobs, translators, transcriptionist jobs, freelance writing and artist listings, to name some.
Wishing you success with your search,
Annie

Welcome and Good Luck on your search :) You should NEVER pay money if all you are looking for is job. If you go the Business opp route then you will have overhead fees involved but the income is much higher if you put the work into it and the overhead doesn't have to be much at all or even come out of pocket. Look around the different folders further down on the board, there is tons of info!! God Bless Girlie http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif

As others have stated don't pay for a job. It is usually a scam. If you look at my siggy there is a list of non phone jobs. It has writing to transcription to other jobs as well. I hope that helps. Some of us have been looking for years for the right job (I finally have it about right and it has been 3 years for me). So, my suggestion would to be to take what you can get now and then just make changes as needed. That is what I have done and it has worked pretty well. Good luck:)

Just wanted to add to what everyone keeps saying about not paying for a job. They are 100% correct, keep in mind the difference in a job and a business. When you have fees associated with a business that doesn't mean its a scam, that only applies to jobs being scams. Good luck!!
